Texas junior RB D'Onta Foreman rushed for 136 yards in Saturday's 27-6 win over Iowa State.
Due to the dysfunction surrounding Texas' program, Foreman's breakout hasn't received the attention it deserves. If you don't count the Week 2 contest he missed against UTEP, this was Foreman's seventh consecutive 100-yard plus game. "I haven't seen many running backs across the country, but I think we've got one of the best here with him," HC Charlie Strong said. "And we'll just keep feeding him the ball. If we gave it to him 40 times, it wouldn't bother me because I know it would be positive results."

Iowa State junior WR Allen Lazard logged seven catches for 65 yards in Saturday's 27-6 loss to Texas.
The 6-foot-5, 223-pounder has been bothered by a foot injury over the past month, but it doesn't seem to be effecting him much on the gridiron. Lazard has posted a 34-448-4 line so far. Iowa State has a bye week on deck.

Best he's run the football in a long time. As the announcers mentioned during the game, he was more patient behind his O line giving them a chance to open a hole before hitting it. It seemed to pay off big for him. Ran with power and speed. Busted a long run. Starting to look like the old Clement. Here's to hoping he has turned the corner. 

 
 

NC State senior RB Matt Dayes "could be a Day 3 steal if he lands in the right system," writes ESPN's Todd McShay.
"His draft stock is on the rise," McShay declared. Following three consecutive 100-yards games, McShay isn't the only one who thinks so. "A team captain, Dayes plays with great vision and is averaging 5.6 yards per carry for his career," McShay wrote.

If Grigson is still with Indy, I think you can bank on one of them being picked by them in the first round.

 
How's the class looking? For someone that's in good shape, and also has 4 firsts in 2017,  Should we be moving any towards 2018?

How's this potential class look early?

2018 as of right now is a notch below 2017 IMHO. There are some great RBs, QBs and WRs that could come out. I essentially have 11 top picks out of the top 20 including Dalvin Cook, Michael Williams and JuJu Smith already on my roster. I've already acquired two extra 2018 1st rounders. So yes, if you can get a few first round picks for 2018 then you must do it. Grabbing either Guice or Barkley is a must.

Man, that's tough! Chubb is not looking like himself. He has'nt been consistent so I'm not sure about him. Fournette has been injured too. If I was picking today?

1. Cook

2. Fournette 

3. Freeman

4. Chubb

Good job! Nearly the same as mine. I have a top 3 pick in both 2017 and 2018 I acquired for Carlos Hyde. That 2017 pick might be the top pick which if the draft was today I'd probably draft Freeman.

So you're viewing any of the top 3 pick in 2017 about the same right now?  That's like the first "tier" for dynasty purposes?  I have what's looking to be the #1 overall, and then something in the 4-6 range, then something in the ~22 range - then in 2018 I have what's looking like a top 3 or so pick.

Yeah, I give Cook a slight edge because he's healthy but they are in their own tier.

With those picks (depending on scoring system) I'd go 1. RB, 2. WR, 3. TE(if one falls that far).

I haven't watched much Freeman. Is he gonna be a three down back at the next level? I like Rb's with that ppr floor. Also, are those your overall rankings, or just RB rankings?

You can make a case for JuJu I took him in my Rook/Vet draft over Freeman. If Freeman is not in a committee baseed backfield I'd go with him. If he's drafted by a team that he'll be sharing the backfield I'd go with JuJu.

*note: I'm not the biggest believer in Oregon running backs. The system they run doesn't prepare them for the NFL and they generally struggle at the NFL level so that has a impact on my drafting.

Just running backs. IMHO he's built to handle the load but I'm not sure how his game will translate at the next level.

I combine my tiers with NFL Rooks and Sophmores vs current and following year class.

In other words I've tiered 2015-2018 as my current ranking.

This is just the Tier as they are not ranked. At the end of the year I do my additions and my subtractions then I take the updated tier and move them to an excel spreadsheet and they are tier based that is separated by rounds which is updated after the combine and NFL draft and that becomes my official Big Board.

LJ Scott glad he made the list. He's underused in college for Michigan State and I think could be a real solid NFL back.

This is pre-NFL, 2015 was a deep class but not as deep as 2017. I had David in Tier 4 behind Ameer who is not on this list. This Tier is how I had them going into their class. David is clearly the top of that class but no one saw this coming.

In other words this is Tiered based on them coming out of college.
