Both Mixon and Perine have reasons to return next year, although I highly doubt both do.  Perine has balky hamstring concerns and Mixon has off the field problems which are on-going.  He has a civil case still pending against him for punching that girl, and what he did to get suspended this year shows how immature he is.  In PPR Mixon is gonna be a monster though, he has WR hands and a good RB body.  I think he'll be a can't miss pro, and I think he is the one who probably comes out for sure.  But he won't go high, he's an immature #######. 

 
Toledo senior RB Kareem Hunt accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.
In early September, TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline praised Hunt's "quickness, burst and agility." The 5-foot-11, 215-pound senior proceeded to turn in a lovely rebound season after a down 2015 campaign that saw him finish with 973 yards rushing. This time around, Hunt has rushed for 1,355 yards (5.6 YPC) and eight scores over the course of 12 games.

i respectfully disagree. Right now I expect Fournnette and Cook to be the first two RBs taken, but I can find several scenarios where I would rather have Cook on my team than Fournette.

Definitely. Cook goes to Indy running & catching passes from Luck, Fournette goes to NYJ and sees 8-9 in the box every play.

.Ross is more Brandin Cooks to me then DJAX, mainly due to thicker build.

I've heard some people put Ross as their #1 WR but he is usually #2 or #3. Does anyone know his date of birth? I know some people have Corey Davis as their #2 and consider him a lock first round pick but man he's going to turn 25 in middle of his rookie season. Mike Wiilliams will be 23 and that's already a bit on the older side for my taste but I can live with it an keep him as my #1 WR, but 25 is a bit much.

i've been trying to find John Ross B-Day as well.  He was a true freshman in 2013 so probably between 22-23.

Where did you see Corey Davis as turning 25.  Wiki shows his B-Date as January 1995, which would make him 21 and 22 going into next season.

Big time nice clarification. I googled his date of birth and apparently got a different Corey Davis, that is a massive clarification. Thanks.

Just looked through John Ross Twitter.  He got wished a happy 21st B-day on Nov 27th.  so he was born 11/27/95

 
So has Chubb just fallen off the face of the earth?  I don't see him anywhere in these draft articles. Unfortunately I didn't get to see much of him this year outside the opener against NC when he had a good game. Did the injury knock his ability down a couple of notches?  

I really wanted him on my team but I don't want to have my blinders on if he's not the same guy.

Man, Davis is going to have to hit the QB jackpot for me to take him at that age. I like my 1st RD WR picks to go 8-10 years in the league with solid production. 

If he was born in 1995, I'm good with that.

If things don't change Chubb is going to be a steal somewhere in the 1st round.

 
Utah senior RB Joe Williams accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game.
Williams played in Utah's first two games of the season before "retiring" for a month. When the 5-foot-11, 200-pound senior returned from the gated community against Oregon State on October 15, he went off for 179 yards rushing, then proceeded to rip off another four games of at least 145 yards rushing. He finished off his 2016 regular-season campaign with a 97-yard performance against Colorado two weekends ago. For the season as a whole, Williams has rushed for 1,185 yards (6.4 YPC) and nine touchdowns in just eight games. NFL teams are certainly going to drill him with questions regarding his aforementioned retirement -- words like "desire" and "motivation" figure to surface in scouting reports over the coming months -- but his actual on-field production this season has been nothing short of magnificent.

I still like Christian McCaffrey as the top RB in this class.  I'm sure the NFL won't draft him that way, but for me, personally, I have McCaffrey rated highest for the rookie class of 2017.

Does that mean you think he's going to suck at the next level, knowitallpetekrum? I'm fully aware that Fournette is the consensus top RB, so I'm not expecting McCaffrey to be drafted as such. In what way will I be terribly disappointed? I think McCaffrey is going to be a very good NFL player in both real life and fantasy. 

 
So now that the playoffs are set in most leagues, anyone have a chance at 1.1?   We give our toilet bowl winner the 1.1 pick.  I've acquired 4 of the top 6 picks.  Not sure what I want to push out to 2017.

Do we have a top 3 consensus pre bowl games?

 
 

Arkansas TE Jeremy Sprinkle has accepted an invitation to attend the Senior Bowl.
Sprinkle popped on tape last season when watching Hunter Henry, so the NFL already knows about his impressive talent. Sprinkle caught 33 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns this year while dealing with a left foot injury. Head coach Bret Bielema previously said scouts are "chomping at the bit" to be around Sprinkle.

I have 1.2, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.9

At this point that 1.2 pick will be Mixon or Davis.

I was lucky to get that 1.2 pick. The guy that I traded with at the beginning of the year had that pick. I played him last week and won with Andrew Luck scoring 40 points, I won by 10 points. If I had lost that game to him that pick would have been the 1.5 pick. I'm still in the playoffs (starts this week) and have a good shot and winning it all.

McCaffrey is going to need to go to a special team. one that knows how to use him. Every team knows how to use Fournette but McCaffrey won't thrive with stupid coaches that trot him out every 3rd play thus letting the other team know what they are doing.....(John Fox while in Carolina)

 
Quite the TE class this year with Howard, Sprinkle, Leggett, Engram, Hodges, Butt and possibly David Njoku.

Stay classy, keep taking personal shots. To answer your question, no I do not think he's gonna suck at the next level, but according to your post he is the first RB you would take in a rookie draft and that's where I believe your terrible disappointment will kick in.

I would hope NFL teams are drafting to fit their respective schemes. I see McCaffrey as more versatile than Fournette

 Give Fournette a big OL and a FB and look out.... but I don't see him splitting out wide, in the slot or running a wild cat play like McCaffrey

[side bar: I admit to having a predilection to RBs who catch passes and own McCaffrey and Cook in a few places, but no Fournette]

Back on topic. 

Pretty sure my top 4 RBs are: McCaffrey, Cook, Fournette, Chubb.  A LOT depends on the draft though.  These 4 are all elite RBs, imo, so I think situation will weigh heavier than usual.

In one league my team has picks 1-6 plus 8 and 11-15. Most of my other leagues have draft playoffs, got a few shots at 1.1 but in a lot of cases it's picks of teams I own and getting them to make an effort in the draft playoffs is half the struggle.

In terms of a top consensus. I'd say nothing close to it if by consensus you mean general agreement by everyone. I think it might be close to a consensus on top rated RB and WR however in Fournette and Mike Williams, high enough majority anyway.

Now I'll change my mind based on new information and landing spot does matter but I know for me personally I got a top tier of two and a consolation prize at 3 and searching a little bit after those top 3 right now. And that's Cook/Fournette with Willliams as the consolation.

LSU WR Travin Dural accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.
Dural didn't enjoy much production in college, but the meager numbers were more of a function of LSU's formerly antiquated offense than anything he did or didn't do on the field. Dural boasts good size and a reported sub-4.4 40-yard dash. Because of that size/speed blend, he averaged 17.2 yards per catch during his Tiger career. Also because of that size/speed blend, the NFL is highly intrigued.
