[Dynasty] 2018 Draft Class (1 Viewer)

NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah "put a big grade" on Notre Dame WR Equanimeous St. Brown.

Jeremiah calls St. Brown's ability to adjust to targets "outstanding," and he creates consistent separation. It was an interesting college career for St. Brown, as he posted 58 catches for 961 yards and nine touchdowns with DeShone Kizer in 2016, then just 33 catches for 515 yards and four touchdowns in 2017. Despite that minimal production, St. Brown will likely be considered a high upside prospect.

Just watched some clips of Mark Walton and he might make it into the mid first round of rookie drafts if he lands in a good spot. His ability to cut and not lose speed is sick.

He has some serious injury issues with his ankle.  I think he drops to the late 2nd or 3rd round of most dynasty draft.  Especially considering how deep it is.  I'm mostly thinking 3rd round of most dynasty drafts.

wasn't sure where to put this, but Cecil is up to his old tricks in Denver, means it wont happen:

When Roger Goodell takes the podium at AT&T Stadium on April 26, it could be the Denver Broncos -- not the Cleveland Browns -- on the clock. Cecil Lammey of 104.3 The Fan recently raised the possibility of the Broncos trading up to acquire the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft, assuming they don't acquire quarterback Kirk Cousins. You probably have many questions, so here's a quick FAQ! Why would the Broncos do this? To ensure they snag the QB they desire with their pick of the litter -- Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield. Rosen and Darnold are unlikely to be on the board at No. 5, so should they fall in love with one during the pre-draft process, Denver might feel it's worth it

Courtland Sutton = muhsin muhammad? Someone’s been reading my posts:)
ha I thought the same thing when I saw James Washington as Corey Coleman.  Maybe they're just the most obvious to pin?  Hated every other comp in that article though.  Gallup is a different player than Agholor was (although I love/d both).  And I see very little of Marvin Harrison in Calvin Ridley as well as little to none of Pharaoh Cooper in Christian Kirk.

He’s looking at where he’s slotting them and then finding players that went around the same imo. Some people see Washington as a 1st rounder and Kirk as a 4th

Fwiw I actually think Sutton and Muhammad have similar strengths/weaknesses. Similar size as well. Strong 2nd fiddle if you have a Steve smith, may struggle if he’s supposed to be the focal point.

Brugler Big Board: Nelson earns No. 1 spot

NFL Draft Scout's Dane Bruggler ranks Maryland WR D.J. Moore as the second best wide receiver on his board.

Bruggler ranks Moore (5'11/215) number 30 overall. This puts Moore firmly in the first-round discussion for Bruggler, which may come as a surprise to some. His report suggests it that it shouldn't surprise anyone. "Although short with a smaller catch radius, Moore doesn't play small and his tape gives off Steve Smith vibes with his speed, physical presence and instincts downfield," Bruggler writes. The second wide receiver selected after Calvin Ridley will likely come down to fit, but Moore is absolutely a candidate to be that player.

UMass TE Adam Breneman did not receive to the NFL Scouting Combine.

This was one of the bigger surprises, as many viewed Breneman to be one of the better tight end prospects in the class. One can't help but wonder if his inability to play in the Senior Bowl because of a hamstring hurt his chances of receiving an invite to Indianapolis. "Breneman won’t test off the charts athletically, but he doesn’t move stiffly and is a sure-handed receiver," NFL Draft Scout's Dane Brugler writes. You should still expect the former UMass tight end to get drafted, although it looks like it might be late in Day 3 at this point.

Colts among five teams that need to dominate 2018 NFL Draft

Excerpt:

Here's a name to remember: Notre Dame wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown. I recently completed my study of his game film, and I came away very intrigued.

He has outstanding size, quickness and route-running savvy. However, his production fell off this fall. He caught 58 balls and 9 touchdowns as a sophomore but he only hauled in 33 balls and 5 touchdowns this past season. After watching all of his targets from the 2017 season, the drop-off in production is easily explained. Yes, he has a couple drops, but the lack of accuracy at the quarterback position was the main reason for his disappointing numbers. He consistently created separation down the field, only to see the ball fly out of reach.

St. Brown has a complete tool set to be a quality starting NFL receiver. I think teams will see the same thing. I value him as a second-round player and he could end up being a steal in April. -- Daniel Jeremiah

It is tier time (see prior post).  This is average rookie rankings, mainly from FBG and dynasty league football.  Count is total number of rankings.  I take out the min and max for average and standard deviation, it deters a way too low ranking skewing the data.  I marked tiers with a space.  Huge break after 8.  Nice to know where perceived equivalent value is in my opinion.

If I have a top 8 pick I would hope like hell that Sutton and Chubb go early..
