Michael Penix Jr. was due to start for the National team in the Senior Bowl. He has decided not to play. Bo Nix will play only a couple of series. Sam Hartman will handle the bulk of the snaps.

I don't think this reflects on the Senior Bowl. It's more Penix Jr. is trying to stop the down hill slide his draft stock has taken over the last month or so. Rattler has played this Senior Bowl week perfectly, and I wouldn't be surprised if he passes Penix Jr. in the rankings by the time the combine is done.

Listened to a recent Waldman podcast where he and Brandon Angelo were talking a lot about rookies and reacting to some of the all-star game performances. Both were less than optimistic about Drake Maye, initially made a Trubiski comp, and then both settled on Jake Locker as a comp. Waldman went as far to say he questioned that as his initial review, and went back to dive deeper and pretty much came out confirming his initial impressions. I haven't done much of any research yet, but man.... that's not a glowing review lol.

I like how Legette gets a train emoji for his 22.3, but Franklin doesn't (or Harrison at 22.2).

ETA: On second thought, this guy may award emojis for being named Xavier, not related to speed.
