Dynasty LB5 Poll (1 Viewer)

Dynasty LB5?

I have what will likely be considered a throwaway vote for the next several rounds on the LBrs. I've always been exceedingly high on Jerod Mayo. Even though his stats haven't backed up my estimation I still covet him in dynasty formats, and think his best statistical years are ahead of him. I tend to think a few more LBrs will go off the board in this poll before Mayo but I will remain in my camp, steadfast with my vote.

I have a perception that the Pats seem to change direction with different aspects of their team much more than normal teams. That would lead to fluctuating value for some of their position groups. Maybe that is just in my head though as I don't have much to back it up. I don't see why their new defensive weapons would affect Mayo, but every change they make is an extra variable for his role IMO.Anyway, I'm not against Mayo in this tier, just thinking out loud about my concern with him. Tough tier now for me.

I don't disagree with this line of thought. Besides some of his injuries I think the Pats use of him has restricted some of his stats so far, although I'm not saying he's being used wrong within the Pats scheme, just that he has better fantasy production upside than he's been able to demonstrate. Translated better .. he's been a better NFL performer than fantasy.
