Dynasty Player Thoughts (WR / RB) (1 Viewer)

David Wilson - Boy, oh boy did this kid look good against the Bears last night. He showed explosion with the ability to break tackles. I don't think his position behind Ahmad Bradshaw means much of anything. Head Coaches do peculiar things sometimes.

Remember when Adrian Peterson was behind Chester Taylor on the depth chart when he first came into the league? I think David Wilson has the goods to be a workhorse back.

5'10

206 lbs

I think he outright steals the job from Bradshaw whom I think is a pedestrian talent similar to Chester Taylor. If he puts on some weight (like Lesean McCoy did), he will be a force to reckon with in this league. Reminds me a little of Ladainian Tomlinson.

Buy, buy, buy.

Ryan Williams - I see a "good" but not "great" Running Back. I don't think he will give the Arizona Cardinals any reason to take carries away from Beanie. I think he will work as a change of pace back this season but not much else. I don't think his skillset, along with his size give him the chance to be a workhorse 3-down back.

Especially not in Arizona behind a line that just lost their best run blocker (Levi Brown). It might be best to avoid both Wells and Williams this year.

Trade him away to some "hawk" is expecting him to have a huge year.

Mikel Leshoure - Every time I watch his tape, I get excited. If he is successfully recovered from his Achilles injury, he will be the steal of this years draft.

6,0

227 lbs

He is an absolute bruiser with speed to burn. He has deceptive quickness for a big guy and should easily be able to be the goalline back in Detroit. Throw in the fact that he can pass catch, this is a guy who will FEAST on the defensive fronts Calvin Johnson / Matt Stafford create.

I think he can come back from suspension and put up a statline of:

950 / 8 Touchdowns

If healthy of course. We will see tonight.

Trent Richardson - Call me crazy but I am just not as high on this guy as everyone else is. I think he may have a serviceable year but he is the only threat on the Browns. He will not produce double digit Touchdowns this season. He will not produce where he is being drafted.

If you own him, I think now is the perfect time to trade him. Someone in your league will give you a King's Ransom for this guy and while I think he turns out to be a decent player, I don't believe he will live up to his current hype.

WR

Stephen Hill - I like this player a lot. He's been running with the number ones all off-season. If Tim Tebow starts at all this season, he could be a value play. He is very similar to Demaryius Thomas and Tim Tebow forces defenses to play 8 men in the box / account for him when he is on the field.

He also has Santonio Holmes across from him (who is no world-beater) but should allow the opportunity to showcase his size and speed against man coverage. This is a player with a ridiculously high ceiling.

If Sanchez could throw 8 Touchdown passes to Plaxico Burress last year, he can certainly throw at least 8 to this Rookie this season. He's a rare talent.

Alshon Jeffery - This is big man with great hands. Cutler has shown confidence throwing to this guy, he's thrown it to him in tight coverage a few times during pre-season. I don't think this guy breaks out this year but 700 Yards / 6 Touchdowns is certainly not out of the question.

He and Marshall will be matchup nightmares for defensive backs. He will have a bigger impact in year 2.

Torrey Smith - If there was ever a combination of two players that were meant to play together, it was Torrey Smith and Joe Flacco. Flacco's deep ball is an absolute perfect compliment to Smith's deep speed. This is a sneaky player who I personally think can post:

1,200 / 8 - 10 Touchdowns

Watch the highlights, he is simply gifted on the deep ball. Last pre-season game he caught 8 passes for 103 yards in the first half. He DID NOT have statlines like that last year, throw in a few extra deep balls and this guy can be a monster. Played on a sports hernia last year, this is a player that is looking to explode.

Similar to Mike Wallace, except I like him on play-actions (Ray Rice) from Joe Flacco. Not to mention that defense is going to take a significant dropoff when Lewis and Reed retire.

Buy, buy, buy.

Agree with some of those, but not Trent Richardson and Stephen Hill.

Richardson is the real deal. Basically a better version of Ray Rice. The lack of flash in his game is why some people are skeptical, IMO, but he's as good as billed.

Stephen Hill is not similar to Demaryius Thomas, IMO. Same college. Different players. Thomas is stronger and more agile. Hill is more of a straight line guy. That's the main reason why I don't like him. I think he is a bit like Roy Williams. Athletic, but not in all of the ways that matter.
