taking out the obvious Carson, Ben, Romo, etc who are the young QBs (28 and below) who have the talent and situation to become a perennial dynasty top 7 ranked fantasy QB? - Choose all that apply above and explain below.

to keep the number of choices from getting out of control (only allowed 15 anyways) I put together:

1) two yougsters on same team

2) some QBs that have started but who have been underwhelming so far

3) a collection of young backups

so we will have to use your comments below to separate the one you voted for if you voted for one of the group

hope I didn't leave out anyone above a DEEP sleeper

started to not put Cutler in this group because he is nearly at the top 7 in most dynasty groupings BUT his latest diagnosis with diabetes and his WR1's antics may have more questions about his ability to reach that area than 9 months ago so I included him reluctantly and just hope he doesn't overwhelm the discussion/voting (although i did use the ability to choose more than one)

25 votes no discussion LOL

guess I'll start

Brady Quinn - can learn for a bit holding the clipboard, offensive line play is strong, young pass catching weapons, the 'ole high accuracy and over 40 starts in college prediction thingy

only problem, DA is young an doing well, very tuff schedule this year and DA may be a sacrificial lamb early although i don't know alot of details on DA's contract

Cutler - Very impressed in watching this young guy play when I had a chance last season. More impressed after hearing the ailments he was battling through. Good head on shoulders, above avg mobility, and a cannon arm.

Quinn - He seems like a guy that eats, sleeps, and breathes football. Combining his great work ethic and good physical tools, I can't see why he wouldn't succeed when given the opportunity.

Rodgers / Brohm- if you grab both I think you should have a top QB for years to come. With the young WR's and the Packers system, one of these two should put up great numbers for a long time.

Even with all the BS, even if Favre is a Packer this year, great situation for the future in the GB offense.

It's very hard to answer this question given that most of these guys haven't played much (if at all) in the NFL. You never would've suspected breakouts from guys like Brady, Bulger, Brooks, Anderson, and Romo until after they had started to flash some potential on the field. So maybe someone like Troy Smith or Kevin Kolb will be the next great NFL QB. Kevin Kolb and Trent Edwards are two lesser hyped names who offer long term starter potential. Edwards has ideal character and intangibles. I wouldn't be surprised to see him eventually become a very good QB.

Kevin Kolb at least deserves a write in.
you don't have to write him in, he has a box up there to checkhehe just kidding, but tell us why he could be top 7 ?and yes to the Cutler maybe already being there but I figured there might be some who disagreed so i inserted him

Cutler and Anderson are already my 7th and 8th ranked dynasty QB's

Other than them, i would go Schaub, although he is not as young as the others and has proven a bit more than most.

I really like the first two QB's from this years rookie class, Ryan and Flacco.

The eagles offense seems to be conductive to good fantasy number when the starter stays healthy.

russell has the arm and he's quickly learning to avoid mistakes... i think outside of cutler he's got a better shot than anyone else on this list. definitely a better shot than manning and schaub...

After Cutler, I'd go with Vince Young. I think he's the best and most talented QB one the list(including Cutler) he just needs a supporting cast. That should come with time, but after Cutler he's the one I'd want the most in a dynasty.

Problem is the organization. What are the chances he has 4 head coaches in the next 6 years? Young QBs need stability, and a strong organization that gives them consistency, and lets them master an offense, and a front office that surrounds them with talent from strong drafts. I hate to say it, but the Raiders are lacking in all departments.I picked Cutler. Seems to be the consensus. My second choice would be Campbell.

1. Manning - Still hasnt reached his potential and already a Superbowl winner. The Giants are a great run blocking team but if you give Manning the opportunity and the receivers he'll become more consistent.

2. Young - He's not Vick but he has the ability to produce a good amount of fantasy points on the ground. He's working with a weak group of wide receivers right now but the additions of Johnson and Crumpler will help his numbers. When they finally add a legit quality wideout Young will have the oppotunity to become a real fantasy force.

3. Quinn/Anderson - Its not fair to bunch the two together. The team is going in the right direction and whoever Cleveland commits to long term is in a great situation.

4. Leinhart - At least for now, he still has two of the very best young wide recievers in the league to throw to.

5. Rivers - Can produce right now. In one of the league's best offenses. Chambers was a huge addition who barely had any time to develop with the team last year.

6. Ryan - You are going to have to wait at least two years for the rookie. The team and new offense is going to take time to build as well.

7. Russell - All the physical talent is there but I'm not sure he's got the other necessities to be a stud? He'll need better protection from his tackles to even have a chance.

8. Smith/Hill - Only because Martz is there. How long will Martz be there and will he bring in another QB?

9. Cutler - Doesnt look like the stud type to me but the system and coach are right. The current cast isnt though.

10. Schaub - Solid QB and an improveing cast but not a true dynasty stud.

11. Campbell - I like Campbell who can scramble and throw deep but I'm not sure he fits with the new coaching staff.

12. Rogers - Good supporting cast and I expect Rogers to keep the starting job. Still, he only looks like a lesser version of Russell.

Dont like the rest.

I voted for...

Manning: pedigree, pure and simple

Cutler: best QB of his class and already having a great start. Should have listened to Young and Jaws in my dynasty draft :X

Russell: If Culpepper did it, so can he. Rocket arm, decently mobile for a big guy, will be tough to bring down. I just think he has all the potential in the world.

Schaub: Liked him since college. His biggest hurdle will be staying on the field.

Does anyone see Aaron Rodgers just being broken by now (whether he had the tools to succeed or not)?

Goes from potential #1 pick to 49ers with the 20M guaranteed $ and what could've probably already been a promising start to a career and the hiring of QB guru Martz ...

to a Millions-of-dollars-lost-in-signing-bonus drop to pick 20+, to a team that won't need him for several years, and this soap opera after already being declared the starter.

it'll either break him (7-20 with bad throws and decisions all around in the big intrasquad game Sunday) or he will come out like hardened steel and be great

I don't see an in-between
