Dynasty PPR: Give Cousins + 1.04, Get Devonta Freeman (1 Viewer)

I currently have Cousins, Goff, Mahomes, Dalton, and Roethlisburger. Have had Cousins on the trade block for a while now, tossed out a couple feelers, and so far have received exactly one trade offer: Cousins and the 1.04 rookie pick for Devonta Freeman.

My current RBs are Tevin Coleman, Mike Gillislee, Duke Johnson, Samaje Perine, and Kenneth Dixon - so I could definitely use the RB help.

I'd hate to lose the 1.04 rookie pick, but rookie picks are always a crap-shoot anyway. I see Goff and Mahomes as my long-term plan at QB (provided Mahomes lives up to the hype), and there's been almost no interest at all in Cousins, even from teams that are weak at QB.

Is this worth it, or should I hold and wait until the season starts and someone loses a QB to injury (which is always a risky proposition...there will be no shortage of other QBs being offered)?

I don't like the offer much as I am not huge on Freeman.  You definitely need to move a QB or two because there is no reason to carry 5 QB's in a 1 QB league.  I would probably keep Mahomes and Goff and try and trade two of the other 3.  No need to have them all.  Whichever ones get you the best return I would move.

As for this deal, I think I wait on it because the 1.04 will increase in value as you get closer to your draft and after the NFL draft.  Someone will want one of the RB's available at 1.04 and I am sure this offer will still be there too.

You need that RB help. I think a rookie rb at the 1.04 is going to be better than Freeman, but contribution first year is questionable. Freeman slides in as your number 1 rb with coleman as the 2, and coleman likely to be on another team next season.

As far as QB trades go, unless you are trading to a really needy team I don't see a QB for a counting for much in a trade for an RB in that range.

I think you avoid this trade and target a lower RB with different Qbs, picks, WR/TE, etc. Take the rookie rb at 1.04, and see if you can partner a QB (or two, or three) with a later pick or player for an RB with a lower price. Drake, Ajayi, Mckinnon, Burkhead, Donta Foreman, or Alex collins all have high upside with lots of risk that would be worth a shot. you may be able to have drake for cousins plus the 2.04 (assuming you have it)

Yeah, I definitely plan to (try to) move the other QBs. I put notice out that all except Goff and Mahomes are available. I'll likely not get any offers on Big Ben or Dalton, though. (Haven't yet, and don't anticipate any coming my way.) Cousins is the only truly viable trade bait.

What about Tarik Cohen as a target? Is Cousins for Cohen + 2.07 not enough to ask?
QBs have little trade value, and a second for cousins would normally do it. If you are really high on Cousins and aren't getting the value you want or if it will haunt you to move Cousins then hold him. If folks in your league love Goff or Mahomes, I would easily trade one of them for the best RB/WR/Pick combo. Cousins, Goff, or Mahomes whoever will get you the best value is who I would trade. If Cousins is not that player, and Mahomes would fetch a better RB, make that trade. You could trade two top 10 qbs and still have more depth than most of your league. I'm not a Big Ben fan, but having Cousins + Big Ben as weekly options is still really good.

Cousins for Cohen + 2.07 would be a win. BUT, I would shop Mahomes and Goff. Even if you dont want to, and think they are the future, you may be surprised by the offers you get.
