Pittman or Irons were not part of

the #6 poll, so I think this is

why they are all in the #7 poll.

I personally think Irons would have

had a shot at #6 over both Bush and Quinn.

Pittman and Irons were part of the #6 poll, just not the runoff. Check here--> http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...=300193&hl=

As far as Quinn being #7, the vote was so close for #6 between some of these backs that I threw him back into the vote.

But when you do a runnoff poll the loser of it automatically goes to the next spot. Isn't that the way it always goes?
That is the way most usually do it. I thought with the close vote (5 guys within 6 vote, I believe) it made sense to do another poll for #7. As of now, Quinn is the leader, but he is not running away with it.

I stand corrected. Please accept my apologies.

I know I'm just nitpicking here, but why didn't you just make it a 4 man poll instead of just the two of them then?

There were 8 votes seperating 5 players. If I went with more than 2, I would've had to include all 5 and the runoff poll wouldn't look much different than the original. Quinn and Bush had a 4 vote difference, while the other 3 guys were only 1 vote apart.

I have a suggestion for these polls. When you update the rankings in the first post of each new poll, can you add some kind of "strength of vote" number? Basically, what I'm looking for is how confident the rankings are. I know, from looking at the rankings, that Adrian Peterson had the most votes for #1. But, what I don't know, without going into each poll, is whether he barely won or blew everyone else away.

I'm not sure what would be the best measuring stick. Percentage of votes maybe? It could look like this:

1. Adrian Peterson 75.7% - (Johnson 13.5%)

2. Marshawn Lynch 51.7% - (Johnson 44.8%)

3. Calvin Johnson 90.7% - (Irons 3.7%)

4. Dwayne Jarrett 40.7% - (Russell 25.9%)

5. JaMarcus Russell 41.2% - (Bush 14.1%)

6. Michael Bush (Runoff)

Not sure what to put in for Runoffs, though. Bush got 20.9% to Quinn's 20.0% in the first poll. The runoff was about 65-35.

Doing this, we can see that Peterson is pretty sure to be #1. Lynch and Johnson could easily be flipped.

Rankings are fine, it would just really help to know what kind of gaps exist between picks.
