[DYNASTY] Sleeper Alert (1 Viewer)

Back in April, I was shocked to see UCLA safety Jarrad Page tumble into the 7th round of the draft. He was a four year starter in college and is a tremendous athlete. At a hefty 239 pounds, he did 38" in the vertical leap, 10'7" in the broad jump, and a respectable 4.65 in the 40 at the combine. He also put up a sick time of 6.68s in the three cone drill.

Page reportedly played well in KC's scrimmage against the Vikings. He was a solid player in college and he appears to have all the measurables needed to be a quality SS in the NFL. I think he's a decent guy to stash on the end of a roster in big IDP leagues. He and Pollard could be a nasty tandem at safety for the Chiefs in a season or two.

Gunther Cunningham has said Page will play "a lot" ...I second this notion, for those in really deep leagues ...

Page is moving to FS so Pollard can play SS right? Im guessing Pollards the Fantasy guy if you had to choose eh?
I dont think anyone knows exactly how it would shake out if both Pollard and Page started. They are built the same and have approximately the same skill set ...If I had to guess it would actually be Pollard at FS ...

Well, it's shaken out and Page is FS, Pollard SS. From what I know of both it makes the best sense. While Page is getting props for being a big hitter, his real strength at UCLA was playing center field.

I'm a Bruin fan, and I've seen him in action every weekend for a couple years. Like every UCLA defender, he wasn't a great tackler as far as taking angles and stuffing the run. They had a pathetic run D. I said many times in the run up to the draft that Page was the only Bruin worth drafting. Havner and London had the hype, Page was the only solid defender. I'm very pleased he's doing so well, and he is doing great.

I think he is ahead of Pollard right now in regards to PT. I was doing some reading last night, and I found this story out there somewhere. Sorry no link. Apparently things are really heating up with KC receivers. Hannon and Webb are in a battle for a job. Webb burned a CB deep and Green laid a perfect pass in front of him. Page came from nowhere to make a leaping interception. Herm turned to his defense and yelled loud enough for all the hear, "It's pretty clear who's making plays!"

He's got a real shot at being the opening day starter. I guess Pollard does too, but Page has been more impressive.

Go Bruins.
