we used Proxy bidding, which may or may not have helped move things along. imo, it helped because you can set your limit at $100 and if someone bids 105, you know you're out and clock reset.
really helped avoid bid sniping too. only once iirc did we have a guy on the clock with less than an hour to go and someone rebid him.
we did have a lot of aggressive bidding. i can recall multiple times putting a price on a player and getting outbid within an hour. getting those prices up high quick helps speed things along as well.
