I like these guys:

There's alot to be had in terms of talent to be had at WR

-B. Jones- has been compared to Marvin Harrison

-Roydell Williams- has been compared to Reggie Wayne

-K. Robinson- Will be a nice WR #3 when he comes back next season

- M. Jenkins- Talented receiver in horrible situation

-R. White- Ditto above

-Arnaz Battle- Looked good last year before the injury and looks like he picked up where he left off

RB:

J. Fargas

TE:

-Dave Thomas- He killed Darnell Bing in the Rose Bowl, and his situation should improve next year

How would you people rate the receivers?

Im thinking:

1. A. Battle

2. M. Jenkins

3. K. Robinson

4. B. Jones

5. R. White

6. R. Williams

I picked up Chris Perry and Brandon Jones off the waiver wire in my dynasty league in the past 2 weeks. I figure the last 2 guys on my bench should be high-upside guys. Alex Smith (Tampa TE) is also on waivers in my league and while I've thought about adding him, I don't want to drop anybody on my current roster for him.

All are fairly equal in raw talent, so it comes down to opporunity/supporting cast. I think this quickly drops Jones and Williams to the bottom (I don't think Young gets there anytime soon). Jenkins/White are next up with Vick not progressing. That leaves Battle and KRob. I like Battle in his situation if he can stay healthy. He can be a solid #2, but don't see him as a #1 WR. KRob is what he is - talented but past high risk. At best though, he is a #3 in GB for at least 2 more years behind Driver and Jennings. I picked up Brandon Marshall and Maurice Stovall in the last 2 weeks for a team headed in the wrong direction. I already had Jennings and Hagens, so I have 4 rookies and hope that (besides Jennings) 2 of the other 3 step up by the end of next year to complement Jennings. I think both are in good situations as far as competition (Galloway and Booker aging). RB's and TE's are depleted in both of my dynasty's, so I am waiting on the draft.

-Roydell Williams- has been compared to Reggie Wayne-Dave Thomas- He killed Darnell Bing in the Rose Bowl, and his situation should improve next year
these are the only two avail in my deep league, i have been looking at roydell for weeks now, i just havent worked up the courage to pull the trigger

How about that kid from Pittsburgh -- Nate Washington?

I know very little about him but he has shown some flashes.

Id pull the trigger, he's a very promising receiver

PICKING UP PERRY AND JONES off a WAIVER WIRE ... must not be a very deep league .. LOLBUT both are excellent pickups ..

thanks to this thread ......... someone sniped him from me  :wall:

i was surprised to see M. Smith was on the WW in both of my dynasty leagues. I picked him up hoping he gets an opportunity to be the #1 RB in 2007 for the Ravens

i have B. Jones in 3 dynasty leagues. I am hoping he gets the opportunity to be the #1 WR for Tennessee in 2007. If he does not show some signs of improvement the rest of this year or in 2007 I will most likely drop in him next year. I do not like to sit on a player more than 3 years

Wow... I don't know this guy at all- could somebody tell me about him? Is his outlook really that great playing with V Young? Would you rather have him or Patrick Crayton?

You seriously dont know who that guy is?
Sigh.I guess there might be a reason why I'd say that AND know about him... just can't figure out what that would be right now. NO. Outiside of his stats and alma mater, I don't know who Roydell is.

There has been a lot of talk about Roydell. Here is a link to every thread: http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...lite=%2Broydell
Gotcha. Thanks... I'll figure it out for myself. Glad I asked.

what about guys like:

Vincent Jackson SD

Drew Carter CAR

Tim Carter NYG

who are talented but are #3/#4 on their respective teams? any thoughts on them moving up the depth charts in the next few years with players like McCardell SD (36), Keyshawn CAR (34), and Toomer NYG (32) getting up in years?

also, does anyone have an opinion on Jason Avant PHI over the next few years? with Reggie Brown (2nd yr) and Hank Baskett ®, how long will it take for Avant to make an impact? or does he end up on another team? i saw an article that said he is not going to be a #1 or #2 "anywhere" in the league.

I like Brandon Jones' chances.

However, I'd cross Fargas and K-Rob off that list. Fargas has missed his opportunity and is injury prone. K-Rob, despite ability, has thrown away his chances. At best, he cames back in the middle of next season with some supplemental role like he had in Minnesota.

For his own good, I hope he straightens out his life, but I don't think he merits a roster spot. (Fool me once...)
