**Eagles (9-2) at Ravens (8-4)** (-3, 51) 4:25 (1 Viewer)

Why don’t the Eagles ever line up for the tush push and toss it to Barkley around the edge, or have Hurts step back and toss it to someone breaking downfield? The defenses always seems to sell out 100% to stop the tush push without accounting for anything else.
they have, several times actually

They’ve tried it twice (I think) this year. Disastrous both times.

But Kellen’s saving that one for the playoffs

Because the tush push is automatic?
Yes, for one yard.

My point is that instead of getting one yard, faking the tush push and calling another play could result in a long TD. Get it now?

On 3rd down I get. On 4th down, I go for the automatic every single time. 100% of the time.

yeah, I mean why call holding now that the game is ending? Looked like Milton Williams was going to lose his shirt getting held from behind

They have tried a couple things like that this year but the success rate is like 98% when the line is healthy

Huge win for the Eagles against a solid playoff team.

Thanks to Raven’s fans for the good commentary in thread. Sorry about Tucker. That’s depressing.

Hope we get to play each other again!
not out of the realm of possibility. Coming in I thought Ravens were arguably the second best team in the AFC.

LOL....carters shirt is torn from being stretched out "no flag"
Ya’ll even whine about the refs non stop when you win lol
man, I would have won a fortune knowing you would run in here and jump on that immediately. And it isn't complaining about refs, it is simply pointing out missed holding over and over on the same player.

You whine more about Eagle fans whining than any fanbase ever whined about anything.

Keep hating, though. I drink your tears like Daniel Day Lewis drinks milkshakes.

I’m not whining, it’s laughable. It’s every damn week

You’re just amazed that you have a good pass rusher being held. I’m sure you watch other games

I never said ‘boo’ about it. If it was costing us games, I might moan a little. 🤷🏻‍♂️ But it’s pretty clear and obvious.

Jalen Carter is just a pure beast, and has made the leap to game-wrecker. His conditioning and fire this year is what we were hoping for when we drafted him.

But, the way you constantly whine about Eagles fans is as annoying to me as Eagles fans whining is to you. But, it’s all love today❤️

I don’t mind DAL/PHI smack talk. Especially when we are good and you guys suck.

I had you confused with another poster. You aren’t one of the constant whiners actually.
And again, I’m not whining when I point out the idiocy of most eagles fans on this board. It’s hilarious. It’s getting kind of scary though that it never stops even after wins though

Carter was held on every play. Number of holding calls: 0.

That's the reason it's brought up. If there was 1 or 2 called then there's no conversation about the other 10 misses.
yep, dominant DTs in the middle won't get a ton of calls. It's not as easy to see it for the zebras because it's often in the middle of a ton of bodies...the camera from slightly above gives us a much better view then any of the refs can get.
but none? in a game where it's pretty blatant at times?

I think it's a toss up weekly between them, PIT, BUF and KC as to who the best team in the AFC is.

To me, Buffalo is the most talented team in the AFC and probably on a tier of their own. Baltimore, Pittsburgh and KC are all too one dimensional. Out of those 3 teams, I would obviously give KC the best shot because they're KC and Mahomes is behind center. Pittsburgh has had Baltimore's number for the last few years and with the downfall of Tucker, I don't see Baltimore as a legitimate threat in the playoffs.

I've had it between them and Buffalo TBH. KC has a horseshoe up their tookus and I'm less then impressed by Pittsburgh

Yeah....the Tucker thing is problematic; to the point that I don't know if he'll right his ship. That being said, BAL whupped BUF, played KC tight and lost an AFC North grudge match. They have All-Pro talent at multiple spots on both sides of the ball and at times, just seems to score at will. To me, they're still capable of going anywhere and beating anyone.

Not to keep harping on this, but Ravens led the league in offensive holding coming into this week. To not get one holding call all game with so many caught on camera is surprising.

Luckily it didn’t make a difference. I am sure this happens with other young fronts too but this one stood out as kind of bad

So if Tucker didn't miss those kicks? Hmmm........

Eagles would have played that last drive totally different.
I know. I was just messing around. But the game would have come down to the last drive.
True, but it's possible the Eagles would have been far more aggressive on their last drive (the one that ended in a FG to make it 24-12) had the score been 21-18 or 21-19, so there really is no way to know how the game exactly plays out.

Any team that keeps Lamar in the pocket and forces him to read the field and make throws is going to win easily

If I had to nitpick anything, I think the Eagles underused AJ Brown. He was getting wide open at will on in breakers, and the PA space was there, but Philly elected to stay super conservative and basically didn't even pass after halftime. Felt like Brown could have had 10-130 if they had wanted him to. Ultimately, its not important because they won over a very good opponent, but I do worry about overworking Barkley a bit, and these weapons (Brown, Goedert, Smith when he's back) can all win 1-1s.

I've wished for the last two years that they would use that AJ Brown slant play 3-4 times per game. I feel like they use it 3-4 times per season. Its just indefensible.

I feel like with the success Barkley is having, and the threat of Hurts running, the middle of the field behind the LBs is almost always wide open. Barkley is on fire, but man it feels silly not to be taking advantage of how much space there is in the playaction game.

That area of the field is where DeVonta makes a lot of his catches. He should be back this Sunday.
