truthfully I would be absolutely fine with going for 4th and 1 down there 99% of the time. IN this spot it just didnt make sense

At best it’s a first down with 10 seconds left and you have no timeouts. You get maybe 2 shots at the end zone.

You get ball at half and it’s tied after you played like ****. It’s an extremely concerning gamble. He feels the fire.

probably would have had two shots...but low percentage shots when other team KNOWS it has to go into the end zone , and KNOWS QB has to throw quickly in order to avoid any chance at a sack. Just not worth it there. Odds of 6 just weren't very good even if they convert on 4th down

Problem is that the bolded is not really true. Defense has been terrific. Offense has been decent other then the turnovers. I'm even willing to give Jalen a pass on the first one as I think Smith's route was garbage. The second is 100% on Hurts though. He HAD to know he had pressure coming from behind after all that time. That fumble should have never happened.

Overll, I actually feel pretty good about Eagles' chances to win this game, but still angry about the combination of coaching decisions and hero ball mentality of Hurts...and you just know if it stays close Hurts will make another big mistake trying to make something out of nothing when he doesnt have to
