**Eagles @ Commanders** (+7, 43.5) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

I think Washington is a worse team than they were a few weeks ago, and Philly feels like they should roll after a close win last time.

I think Philly keeps Sam Howell on pace for the single season sack record, and has some bend, but don't break drives leading to Washington FGs.

For the Eagles offense, I think AJ Brown finally slows down a bit, as Philly controls the clock. I like Swift to have a nice game this week and Hurts to have at least 1 brotherly shove TD.

I'll say Eagles win 28-16.

If AJ Brown doesn’t break Megatron’s record this week, it’s only because WAS sells out to limit him specifically. The Eagles will make an effort to get him that record.

There's a decent chance you'll see a whole team (coaching staff and players) collapse in this game. And I don't mean Philly.

I’ll be shocked if they don’t feed AJ for the record. Dline should dominate. First game the Birds were still working out the kinks and won. Today they should crush. Always seem to play Washington better at Washington for some reason.

Eagles win, 42-24

Note it's only the Eagles fans in the thread that even remotely know about the "record."

That's like Crocodile Dundee where he goes, "That's not a knife. Now this is a knife."

It's something akin to that, anyway. That's not a record.
Sure, it’s an Eagles fan focused “record” currently, but the bigger point is that he is on pace to potentially break Megatron’s single season yardage record and could even possibly eclipse 2000 receiving yards.

Now that’s a record, mang.

Hopefully not a let down game again for the Eagles. Shouldn't look past them this time after how close the last one was. Plus our defense is playing much better now.

38-13 Eagles

No, it's actually a record, since the NFL merger, only Calvin Johnson has done this. It's actually akin to something along the line of Cal Ripken's streak. No one really cared about it Lou Gehrig having the streak until people looked up one day and went "Oh wow, he's done it THAT many games in a row. That's pretty impressive"

But yeah, weird that Eagles fans are happy a guy on their team is tied with the record for consecutive games with 125+ yards receiving.

Eagles win big this time. I underestimated their defensive line last time, and I think to a degree the team did too. I feel this one will be very lopsided, going with a 41-17 score.

Will be a lot of sacks
Will be a lot of turnovers.

Carter gets 2 sacks or Byard gets 2 INTS. Bold take.

AJ is fed, Devonta might have a big game too since probably the Washington team knows about the record AJ is about to break (even if some people believe its 100% only Eagles fans that are aware of it).

Should be a fun day!

Washington team won this game a year ago with ball control and no mistakes.
I think the Philadelphia Team remembers that and won't let it happen this year.
Just a lot more talent on the visitors sideline in this one.
With The City of Brotherly Shoves full attention on football with The Phillies demise.

Pheagles- 30
Washington Team- 16

This shows a woeful knowledge of baseball. Everybody cared about the Lou Gehrig streak. He was called the "Iron Horse."

No, 125 yards in five straight games is an abstract "streak." Nobody cared about it because it's useless, unlike Lou Gehrig.

This is so on-brand for an Eagles fan that I don't know what to say.

No worries. Orioles fan here too. You can disagree if you don't think it "should" be a record. But you can't disagree with the fact it "IS" a record.

Good luck to your Jets and Zach Wilson today broski.

Easy, Tiger. No Eagles fans really gaf about the record, either. But it has been talked about on every Eagles game broadcast, and every highlight show, and every youtube video that Philly fans watch.

And if you think AJB doesn't know about it, and care about it (no matter what he says to the media) you're crazy. And if you think it's not in the forefront of Brian Johnson and Nick Siriani and Jalen Hurts- yer double-crazy. They wanna keep AJ happy. Breaking a record, no matter how inconsequential, held by Megatron and standing alone atop any stat is what a lot of NFL players (especially WRs) live for.

I had no idea he was having that great of a season. Wow! I guess that’s what happens when I quit fantasy football.

This Eagles’ D is so much sharper than the last game. Communication in the secondary, swarming to the ball. This is what the Fangio D is supposed to look like.

I love Sydney Brown
