Eagles postpone postgame news conferenceInquirer staff reportThe Philadelphia Eagles have pushed back the time of their day-after the game news conference with Head Coach Andy Reid."Today's press conference has been moved from 12 noon to 3 pm. Sorry for the late notice," was the short statement released this morning by the Eagles. There was no reason given for the delay.
TO hasn't shown?!?!?

That is interesting. I really get the feeling, being in Philadelphia, that TO is going to be suspended for the season. Mcnabb was classy and refused to get into a war or words, but even now he's making comments like "we play like a team" without him. The relationship is beyond repair. Even teammates like Trotter and Dawkins that tried to come to TO's defense earlier in the season against the coaching staff, are starting to take managment's side.

My best guess is that the Eagles went through their standard Monday morning activities until Noon. At this moment, they're probably being informed by front office reps that TO is either being released, suspended for the season, etc. That way, they'll know the status of the situation, as well as the team's wishes regarding how to handle questions regarding TO, before the press/general public finds out.

Couldn't it just be the fact they had a road night game last night and they are behind schedule as expected?Nothing new on TO front now.

They need to run the gauntlet on T.O.Sittin here watchin ComCasy SportsNet, hopin a word is delivered on the situation.

Maybe they just want Mcnabb to speak at the press conference and he can't because he is out of breath... :boxing:

The ESPN ticker is reporting that the Eagles have said they will wait until later in the week to determine TO's status for next Sunday.

This isn't a last-minute thing. When I checked the Eagles' home-page this morning (8:30 or so) it said 3 PM news conference.I'm guessing it has something to do with getting in late from a Sunday night away game.

That's what I'd suspect.I'd be pretty surprised if they decided anything concrete today. This doesn't seem like something they'd rush into.

Even though you would normally be wise to not rush into a decision on this, the best thing for all parties involved would be to get bait immediately so the iggles can concentrate on winning football games and still have the goal of reaching the playoffs.

And right after that they should cut bait, right? ;)

Per Howard Eskin on WIP, today's press conference was postponed so the team could figure out what to do with TO. He just reported that according to his inside information, TO is absolutely done with the Eagles. Press conference to make it official. Eskin didn't know whether or not the Eagles would suspend him another 3 weeks or just cut him out-right.

The TO as an Eagle era is O-V-A.
That was the bottom line of Eskin's report. I also heard Mort on the Dan Patrick show earlier and his opinion was that Donovan's comments following last night's game sealed the deal. "We played as a team. We were better off without TO" <---paraphrasing.

According to Dan Patrick radio show, TO was supposed to get a call from the Eagles at 2:30 to be told his future, hence press conference at 3. I would imagine we will find out the results at 3.

Imagine if a player of TO's caliber hits waivers.Houston and Green Bay have dibs on the wire, although I'm not sure how waiver tie-breakers work. I bet Green Bay would be happy to have him right now. TO would get his wish to play with Favre.

Important to note that in the followup questions, McNabb clarified that and softened it a lot. This is far from a done deal I believe.

We'll find out in a bit, but Eskin said he's heard from too many inside sources today...TO is done in Philly and will not put on an Eagles jersey ever again. Just passing along what was reported on Philly talk radio.

Eskin is a moron. I think he hides out in the mensroom stall trying to get his scoops. Rarely is he right on things or rarely is he first to break news. Take it for what its worth. I think hes a moron. We will know the deal in 8 minutes.

But can T.O. put on another uniform, is the question? If they release him can he sign with anyone willing to pay his price, or wil he have to sit out a la Keyshawn regardless?

I bet Green Bay would be happy to have him right now.
To what end? So they have a chance at finishing near .500?
I think Favre would be happy to have another playmaker on offense for the rest of this season and next year. I don't think he wants to retire yet and wants to see the organization take steps for a run next year.

If he is claimed off waivers, his current contract is valid. If he clears waivers, he is a FA and can sign a brand new contract.Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If TO went to the Pack, they would still have a chance to make the playoffs. They would have to win the rest of their divisional games, but as long as they beat the Bears twice I think they would be in.

Alright injuries.Brian Dawkins uhhh is in the process of having an MRI on his foot... foot sprain.Fraley had an MRI on his shoulder.. sprain.ND Kalu did not finish the game with his shoulder sprain, he's doing okay though.Runyan has a knee contusion.Jason Short? has a fracture and is done.LJ Smith has a concussion.
