Bethel Johnson has returned 6 punts in his career. He is more a kickoff returner than a punt returner. I'd say Reno's job is still safe.
Mahe was our KR last year. And with Bloom supposedly healthy, I think we're set at PR too. Or even Moats could be servicable at PR.

0% chance. Johnson has very little WR skill. Schefter is also reporting Kevin Curtis is visiting today??

I don't see that happening.Brown and Baskett figure to be the starters. Lewis is a veteran who has made plays in the past and is familiar with the system. And Avant was an early round pick with a year of experience under his belt. I can see Johnson battling with Bloom for the #5, but not much else.

That comment would be better directed at the Vikings and Chiefs organizations...

That's just it, they don't feel like it is a need. They have 21 of 22 starters back next year, only Stallworth won't be back. They are gonna give Baskett and Avant a chance. Up until they signed T.O. a few years ago, they never had a true #1 WR, and yet, they won. That's just they way they do things.

I agree and they both make me scratch my head too. As far as the Eagles though, they are more of a contending team to make a real run for the Super Bowl than the other two IMO. Thus, that's why I find their lack of pursuit more interesting. Don't get me wrong, I don't they need to sell the future or make a dumb trade to get Randy Moss, but wondering why they haven't made more of an effort.

Since the Eagles are more of a contending team, I think they would have learned from the similar situation that occurred for the Patriots last year. Of course, Reggie Brown is more talented than any WR in NE, but if they meet a team that has a top CB that can move from left to right in formation..they become much more limited in options. It's good that Baskett has shown a flash, but are they ready to bank their "time" on a flash? You saw the difference when Donté played the past season.

Read the part above about their cap number and rookie picks.They've spent a lot of what they could already, and can only afford some cheaper FAs, which will now start to sign. We're in "B" and "C" level FA's now.

I'll go back to my earlier posts...Who's gonna return punts? Reno isn't going anywhere unless they get a guy to return punts. Bethel Johnson doesn't do that.

Jeremy Bloom, unless he doesn't cut it (or can't get past 4-5 WRs ahead of him, especially if Curtis is signed). Then I'd lean to a DB.

Bloom or a DB/RB. Mahe is UFA, they're not brining him back.
