Eagles vs Raiders - Week 7 (1 Viewer)

nice to see more runs this week at least. Execution not great, more inaccuracy from Hurts...but the play calling is better

So who's covering the dam Fullback? Honestly I don't blame them because who the F carries a Fullback on their roster these days!!!!!!

Hey Carr would it hurt to at least get the ball to Renfrow? I know you said you don't care about anyones fantasy team but give an Eagles fan a bit of something here buddy?

It probably wouldn't hurt but I'm pretty sure Carr doesn't like you.

He should. I've been defending him for yrs now. I was telling Raider fans they were crazy for ever wanting to get rid of this guy.
You and me both brother.

Fwiw I don't think he likes me particularly much either but he's my bye week QB so it doesn't matter.

Garbage time hero strikes again. Fantasy owners can only pray he lasts season as starter.

I think Stache starts at some point. And the pass game looks a lot better while they decide what to do for 2022.

Seems he hates everyones unless Hurts is on it
I commented offhand in another thread that he runs the Eagles as if he thinks if Hurts is the #1 fantasy QB it means the Eagles win the Super Bowl.

I would love to have Hurts on my team but Siriani looks like he is in over his head

Fantasy? Yes Real Life absolutely not. Hurts is a great example of great fantasy athlete but bad in real life

Bingo. I say this constantly when I see certain QBs in the league. A guy like Lamar Jackson was perfect for the Ravens because of his skillset and they already had a very good defense and coach. Tua is in a horrible situation in MIA but he isn't helping himself getting hurt.

Wentz as an example here in Philly and look what he's doing in Indy right now.

why didn't RG3 last in Was? Poor coaching, bad scheme and didn't have the guys around him to succeed. Also didn't help his work ethic was always questioned.

It's why before these guys get in the league I'm not as bullish on certain guys prior to the draft. Need to see where they go in the draft. Are they going to a good fit or a good org.
Exactly man. There obviously ARE situations where you can tell that someone doesn’t have ‘it’. Eg. I think anybody could tell that Trubisky was never going to make it right from the off, regardless of where he ended up or who he had around him. As someone who has followed some other sports since I was a child, and had a lot more access to playing and watching them, and therefore having a deep deep understanding of them, the quick viewpoint and assessment of QBs in isolation has taken me by surprise in the last ten years as I’ve properly got into NFL. This kind of thinking isn’t prevalent in other team sports but I guess no other team sports have such a central one off entity being a fulcrum, like a QB. Maybe a striker in soccer.

I wonder, how would Mahomes have done if drafted by the Jets ? Why did people on here think the likes of Wentz and Goff were better than Stafford around 3 years ago ?? Just a totally ridiculous lack of factoring in things around the QB

I think Wentz and Stafford at good. Goff just isn't good at all. Just all about situations as well. Plus the Eagles themselves did a lot to compromise Wentz success in Philly he never truly got back to that guy.

It is amazing how people can't accurately predict QBs though.

Mine hasn't been great

BTW love the user name
TY

Houston pro football has seen plenty of turmoil over the years. I started using it as a username for sports-related accounts right around the time Buddy Ryan punched Kevin Gilbride.... now it's different franchise, but the same old you know what.

Nick Sirianni would fit right in down here.

My Coworkers son is Unfortunately the DB coach for HOU now. He started with Andy in KC first year Doug brought him back home to Philly when he was hired and last year was the assistant DC. Glad he's now working his way up the latter just hate the spot for him

"Don't pin this one on the quarterback. Before too much blame is laid at Jalen Hurts' feet, consider this: when Hurts threw his 10th pass of the day with 9:06 left in the second quarter -- a nifty 20-yard completion to DeVonta Smith -- the game was tied, 7-7. When he threw his next pass about a quarter later, he trailed 24-7. In between, the game was all but lost for Philadelphia. RB Josh Jacobs put the Raiders ahead, 14-7, with an 8-yard score with 1:45 left in the first half, and the Eagles bungled a chance to answer by fumbling on their ensuing first-down play. The Raiders took advantage with a short field goal as the half ended. The Eagles then tried a failed onside kick to open the second half, resulting in a short field for a potent Raiders offense, and a 41-yard TD drive. Amid those 17 unanswered Raiders points, Hurts didn't throw a pass and the Eagles offense took just one snap."

Not really blaming the loss on Hurts. The defense was the bigger problem yesterday. But Hurts wasn't good. He left more then one play on the field, more then one drive ended because his throw was off target. If a couple of those throws in the first half had been more accurate, a couple of Eagles drives wouldn't have ended in punts when they did, and who knows, maybe Philly is UP 14-7 or 17-7 before this drought of opportunity. Hurts isn't the reason Philly's defense sucks, but he's absolutely a liability on the offensive side
