East Bound and Down (1 Viewer)

"Hey... who the hell are you?"

"My name is Tony."

"What are you, like her roommate or some ####?"

"No. I'm her son."

"Her SON?! You came out of her ######? I was all up in that #### last night."

OMG...

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

This show is an absolute riot. I think it's even better than S1.

Even if you didn't know Will Ferrell was the executive producer, you could probably guess. The comedic styling has his handprints all over it.

 I had to rewind a few times last night because I missed parts while laughing.

"3d tv's suck. Who in the hell wants to sit around popping bubbles looking like Ray Charles and ####."

"You want to see me disappear? Start calling me, "dad.""

Kenny shoots Stevie in the leg, but is constantly intimidated by his old scissor-wielding, phonebook-selling sidekicks.

The scene at the mexican dinner table might be one of the series funniest.

plus the

"Theres a new ship in port, a pirate ship with fantastic booty"

" You &$$#^ named your kid after ^%$@#$# Titanic? (points to the fat boy) What's his name %$#@^ Shrek?"

Damn near fell off the couch laughing. The look on the fat kids face was priceless.

The funniest part of that exchange though is right after he says "what's his name, Shrek?" <pause> "No?" Because he doesn't know his nephew's name at all. :excited:Decent episode last night, but not as many good lines as last week.

It still really bothers me how un-athletic Kenny Powers is. If this past week's episode taught us anything, it's that he throws, punches, kicks a soccer ball, and destroys a recording studio, all like a girl would.

:goodposting: He looked like such a #####, and about as likable as LHUCKS at a Big 10 convention. Hated the episode.

Isn't that what makes the show what it is?
True, but this one felt really uncomfortable.

I agree, but it's kind of like The Office, it's almost a good thing that it did.

I liked the episode because it went from Kenny thinking he was on top of the world to a huge huge fall. Again. Winnow he found his pops for some possible redemption. We shall see. I did feel uncomfortable with how he made stevie dump his lady. That was cold.

I dunno, we're expected to believe he's a flamethrowing bad ### closer in the mold of a Dennis Eckersley, but everytime he does something halfway athletic, he looks like he hopped off the short bus he took to the game.If he was some chump that thought he had skills but was just fooling himself, it would be a different story. The shtick of Eastbound and Down is that he's a chump that used to have skills but pissed them away and is now fooling himself.

i :bye: when his girlfriend was bending over in front of the refrigerator & he made the pelvic thrust motion behind her while trying to :lmao: her son

Yeah, pretty sure this show shouldn't be taken so seriously. It's not West Wing.

I agree. Although Danny McBride has said he he was even worse than before the show, he actually trained to look resonable, he was worried about the same thing.

He reminds me of Rod Beck.
He's definitely much more Beck than he is Eckersley. He's the ******* offspring of Rod Beck and John Rocker.

 I told my friend the exact same thing when I explained the show. "he's a cross between Rod Beck and John Rocker"

Wow. Pretty awful season so far. I was a huge fan of season 1, but this series has steered way off course.

Mrs. Dogg said it best: the reason the first season was so hilarious was that Kenny's outrageous behavior was in stark contrast to the other characters. His lewd, rude behavior was funny because it was so extreme. But in Mexico, we have all these new ridiculous characters that don't add to the show, they detract.

Seems like the Mexican vacation is over, though.

I need to reiterate that I am a huge fan of season one. I think it was hilarious. So I'm not being a naysayer just to be "different."
