Plus he owned up to it right away when he talked to Turner. Not a ton of refs do that.

What he said. Chargers went 0-fer-2 stopping the next 2 plays, either of which would have won them the game.

I agree. He made a mistake and, from what I understand, admitted to it rather quickly. Indicating that he took responsibility rather than hiding behind the whistle. It's part of the game, human fallibility.
