Edge TD or not? (1 Viewer)

Just for grins here, let's say that it is indeed a Edge TD (AGAIN, SPECULATION)... When does the NFL review and update plays like this? Monday morning??
We can play tennis all night, but my question above still stands -- anyone know when we can expect an update from the NFL if it is called an Edge TD?

if James did fumble, why wasnt it a touchback when the STL player picked it up in the endzone?
Thank you.
Because the STL player did not have possession.
did you see the play in its entirity? I didn't, but from what i did see, the STL player was lying on top of the ball with only teammates in the ficinity of him, and he was lying there for numerous seconds.
I did see the game and the play. From what I saw, it did not look like the STL player ever had control. The ball was slipping out from behind - at least from my vantage point.

I thought a player had to recover his own fumble if he fumbled in the end zone for it to be a td. They might have changed that rule, but this looks like a complete cluster____

I saw a good bit of it. The ball was slipping and sliding around on the STL player and then I couldn't see much after that. So if there is a replay of it it would show that he did not have control. But even if a replay did show clear control by the STL player it doesn't matter, that won't change anything. For FF purposes, it's all about when Edge fumbles.

According to Rich Eisen on NFL Network Gameday, the Ref after review called it a TD WITHOUT a Fumble. Even though they showed the replay and Edge's Elbow was down on the Goaline. But the Stats still showed no TD for Edge.

Prediction: It will be changed to an Edge TD by Elias Sports sometime Tomorrow. Congrats Edge Owners!

Inside the final 2 minutes of the game. The AZ/SF game almost had that happened and they broke down the rule when Battle fumbled into the end zone. The AZ player couldn't fall on it and a SF guy recovered. But since it wasn't Battle the ball was placed back on the 1 yd line. And for those who gametrack on a consistent basis with NFL.com, whenever there is a challenege the play by play always says reviewed by replay official and upheld before they come to a decisison. Don't know why but a glitch of some sort.

MFL has it listed under 'Strange Plays" as:

'Edgerrin James (ARI) Fumbled at the 1 yard line and Reggie Wells (ARI) Recovered it in the end zone for a 0 yard OFFENSIVE Fumble Recovery TD.'

It's an Edge TD. I'm sure it will be updated correctly in your official scores.
Why do you seem so certain?
Because he probably owns Edge in multiple leagues
Because I watched the game and saw the play.
If you watched the game and saw the play i am sure you noticed he was still 1 yard away from the end zone when he dropped the ball , so why would it be a Edge TD.
Yeah, but they reviewed it and called it a touchdown by Edge. It seemed pretty obvious that his elbow was down before the endzone and he fumbled before getting in, but my opinion doesn't matter.

Ah.....have to admire the subjective perspective of a fan/homer
Don't be a buffoon. A fan/homer wouldn't care -- they got their touchdown either way.And... don't be a buffoon. I live in NYC. I'm not a homer. I'm not a Cardinal fan. I still watched the game.HTH

By the way, I'd like to go on record as saying that I am absolutely astonished that the collective IQ of the Shark Pool somehow seems to decrease with each passing season. It seriously amazes me. This thread gives me a headache.
