Eeeeyo Goff...where's Watkins?? (1 Viewer)

wilked

Where's Watkins Goff? Where's the boy? That's all I wanna know... Where the #### is Watkins? Look at me, look at me Goff.

Where's Watkins?!?!

Ugh.

On the bright side, maybe I'll make a free more offers for him in other dynasty leagues where I don't want to win this year. :wall:

He's being covered a lot by Sherman. Seattle D is still decent.
Not sure if this is the reason.  Watkins isn't even on the field much of the time, and if they wanted to make Watkins a primary target, they'd move him to the other side of the field.  He's just less important in that offense as Gurley, Woods, Higbee and Kupp.

Case in pont, Goff would rather throw it into double coverage to Kupp for the game losing play than to Watkins in single coverage.  He's just not important in this offense.  Complete waste of talent.

Goff is not really even looking his way to be honest. For some reason he likes Woods more. I do think Watkins was drawing help from Thomas but they could have gave him some underneath stuff. The talent is there for sure

Which makes no sense.  He catches every accurate ball Goff throws.  I think Goff is still feeling himself out.  (That sounds weird)

You kinda had to know there was a good possibility of this happening. They've had a cake schedule & faced Dallas without Sean Lee who seems to be their whole run defense, LOL.

It was getting to the point where Rams offensive players were being a little overrated. It'll be interesting to see if they bounce back next week.

Watkins will definitely have another huge game at some point, but he'll be on everyone's bench when it happens. And the Rams upcoming schedule is brutal over the next 5 games.

i'd need to see the snap count, but i only remember a couple plays when he wasn't on the field. i'd be surprised if woods or kupp had higher snap %.

It's almost like they didn't practice together until mid August.

i kind of thought this was but i'm starting to change my mind.

goff makes pretty poor decisions. if you watch the all-22, you'll see several plays where goff throws into tight coverage when there's a nearby-ish receiver in a much better situation. he stares down guys and takes unnecessary risks when he turns to the second and third reads.

i don't think it's just a case of goff ignoring sammy and i don't think it's really a chemistry issue anymore.

personally, i think he might just be blind.

I'm holding him but sure as hell am not starting him for a while.

I thought last game he was used sparingly to be cautious with him because of that concussion (repeat concussions happen easily).

But this game, it looked like the play calling was just atrocious and Seattle really locked them down on D. Also, Goff sort of wilted under the pressure.

I'm gonna just cross my fingers and hope that BOTH these weeks were outliers and that he and Goff establish their rapport going forward.
