Embrel kicked my psoriasis's ### (1 Viewer)

My wife has psoriasis and recently switched to a ketogenic diet -- high fat, especially saturated fats, animal fats and coconut oil, very low carb, moderate protein. It's an extremely healthy diet despite all the myths out there about fat. In addition to weight loss and improved cholesterol numbers, the psoriasis is 98% cleared. Just thought I'd share.
Yeah this can have a huge impact on reducing systemic inflammatory response.

Im on Humira now and eat very clean.

I've long wondered if my diet played a role in my psoriasis (I'm overweight and can't remember a time in my life where I wasn't). Maybe I'll give this a shot.

Got an appointment tomorrow with my dermatologist, previously saw him about a year and a half ago to remove a mole on my abdomen that concerned me, but have my appt tomorrow for worsening psoriasis. I was ok dealing with a handful 1-2" plaques on my arms, and only a handful really on the rest of my body for the last 4-5 years but about 2 months ago I had a ton of smaller (1cm or less mostly) appear on my back, upper arms, and chest primarily. Scalp has very thick plaques now and is considerably worse as well. So now Im at the point where Im interested in an injectable. Is there any consensus at this point on that?

I have good health insurance through work, I believe my med deductible is only $150, so I cant see any of these meds like Stelara, Cosentyx, or Humira costing me hundreds or thousands of dollars, or am I wrong there?

Can you post a nude of your wife so that we can tell that she is 98% clear of psoriasis?
