Very, VERY solid episode.

After a rough patch, Vince gets in a Scorsese movie, Johnny Drama buys a bar, and Turtle gets busted having phone sex with Jamie-Lynn.

Just in time to keep us hanging until summer.

That was hysterical. Turtle's Mom was a riot. I remember a few Moms like that when I was growing up in Brooklyn. They were always in a robe/housecoat and always screaming at their kids.

I don't think it is that big of a stretch . . . he does hang out in the same places, he is reasonably well connected in hollywood, he knows how to keep his stash supplied, I could see an actress "slumming" it with a Turtle-type guy.

Agreed. On one hand, I have to admit, I was happy everything was good again, but it did seem to be wrapped up way too quickly there at the end. Even if they would have just had the Scorcese thing but drug the E-thing into next year that would have somehow seemed more real. This was just a little too storybookish. I remember reading a Sports Guy column years ago where he said eventually the show would have to be about "E" and his career, etc. I thought that is where they were going to go towards the end, but I guess not by the time the credits rolled.

I've seen some extremely hot chicks with some off-the-charts dooshy guys in my life. It's not that improbable. And it's not new, either.

Show me a link of a guy who looks like Turtle/not in the business w/o a job who landed a star who most guys find hot.

I agree. I thought they should have let that be the central "cliffhanger" for next season. Eric says no to Vince's offer to return but how long will that be the case? The fact they already had done the Vince-Eric Tension thing much much much better at the end of Season 2 (and even at the end of Season 1) might have been more palatable if they came up with something more daring at the end. I still think it's a great show and I still love it. But this was the weakest of the seasons to date.

That's the thing, this show could be way more realistic and great at the same time. It's not like we are watching the Terminator show. Also wouldn't it be realistic to see these guys with way more chicks? They talk about it but always hanging out w/o them or barely. Regular guys shouldn't watch the show and think I can pull more wool than these guys.

I've seen some extremely hot chicks with some off-the-charts dooshy guys in my life. It's not that improbable. And it's not new, either.

Shannon Elizabeth's ex fits the bill. Jamie-lynn's ex also wasnt exactly a hunk. Also KFed with Britney, who at the time was one of the biggest stars on the planet and she slums it with a backup dancers with 3 kids by his babymama. And before you say Britney's crazy, well yes, but you're talking about star performers - which puts them all in the upper echelon of crazy for all women.

Don't kid yourself it was a terrible season. Nothing has changed since the last season. Vince's career is still in the balance. E hasn't done much.

What they should have done is ended it with Vince firing E. Next season should take place two years later and they are estranged. E is really successful and Vince continues to struggle. That way they can recenter the show around E. Because the main problem of the show is Vince is a dud. Maybe E and Ari are doing great business together and Vince is left out in the cold. Johnny is doing well to. Turtle is with Jamie-Lynn. Everything is flipped. Vince is the outsider.

The show has to change a bit if it going to keep on going. You can't have the same season over and over. I'll watch it no matter what but it's lame that they don't take any chances.

Are you kidding?You don't know many hot women, do you? I would say if I have met 5,000 hot women and their boyfriends, about 4,000 of those boyfriends weren't punching their weight. Women rarely are with men that deserve them. It's one of their best qualities.

I love this series but my biggest complaint is that it's only 22-25 minutes long. Just when you start getting into the show, it's over? I was expecting, at least, that the finale would be an hour long? IMO, it hurts the value of the show being so short.

he was in smokejumpers most of the season. it gets so bad, he leaves and goes back to queens. ari and e can't get people to return phone calls. yet somehow he convinces gus van sant to watch scenes from an unreleased movie. and he likes it so much he recommends vince to martin scorcese. scorcese then hires vince FOR THE LEAD? i could believe him getting a part, but the guy goes from being unable to get an audition/reading to getting a lead? come on.

I don't think they ever say this in the show. It had the biggest opening weekend of all time. And, Eric has a plaque/poster in his office that has the opening weekend number on it. I don't think they're saying Aquaman outgrossed Titanic or Star Wars or anything.

What?E had Smokejumpers because of the writers. They tried to sell it for half the season with Vince as the lead but no one would take them together. Remember Edward Norton trying to buy it? They thought their only chance of selling the movie and Vince together was for Ari to take the studio head job. Josh Weinstein even tried to backdoor Ari and get Vince a television gig during the middle of the season. Vince didn't get the Smokejumpers role until Dana Gordon became the studio head in episode 9.

The season sucked... They should have had Vince REALLY hot rock bottom hard (drugs, booze, broken...the whole True Hollywood Story deal). I was actually hoping that is where they were going with it. Then they could have spent next season building him back into a star.
