Epididymitis is not fun. That is all. (1 Viewer)

Did it just randomly show up, or was it do to....extracurricular activities?
Just random, really. Felt a "tangle" after a long walk Saturday... normal "adjustment" didn't help. Then Sunday afternoon felt the lump/inflammation/pain.

No unusual extracurriculars...
That sucks. You get an STD that makes your balls hurt without at least getting the sex part.

I can't even make schtick with that.

Per Google, gonorrhea and chlamydia infections are most often the cause of the problem in young heterosexual men.
:oldunsure:

young men

joking aside that sucks, and I hope you feel better soon

I'm in my early 60s and chronic pain is an ongoing concern, and every day I wake up wondering which bingo square it will be today

sciatica, plantar fasciitis (both feet), bone-on-bone arthritic toe, C4-5 disk, or random oh-didn't-know-that-was-going-to-be-an-issue body part pain

I just shrug and roll with it, seems like minor inconveniences - lot of my veteran friends have been through 10, 15 surgical procedures and deal with way worse chronic pain than mine

testicle pain has got to be on the same level as an infected tooth, pretty hard to just grit your way through it

Late forties, caught the diabetes, got put on wellbutrin for add, need bifocals suddenly, had a couple of root canals, tore a rotator cuff, already have all kinds of lower back disc issues, umbilical hernia, plantar faca, need hip replacement (interferes with social agenda a bit) asap, and now maybe six weeks ago, I HERNIATED DISC/DISCS in my freaking neck!!! This neck/shoulder/arm business has been worse than any pain I have had yet. So yeah I feel ya.

my wife had C4-5 neck surgery about 8 years ago, I'm surprised how common the procedure has become (whether disk replacement or fusion or whatnot - just seems like a super common problem that needs resolving at some point)

bit freaked out about having to go that route but might be inevitable

I'm encouraged that I've never met anyone who regretted doing it, so probably is the best option in terms of quality of life

I love hearing this. I just weened off the wellbutrin so I could finally get back on pain pills last night. They took the edge off thank god, but I can't imagine living like this for long. I was in AGONY. Now I'm down to an 8/10 pain at least. Good luck!

I have had this also, worse pain in my life. I was told it can happen after a vasectomy. To this day if I have any kind of ball discomfort, I go full blown PTSD.

I used to get it in my right ball off and on for years. Thankfully it's been a long time. Good luck buddy.

Update: Had UltraSound last week (humiliating experience, but I digress). Results came back today. Epidydimal cyst. I have no more pain, but there is discomfort. There is no treatment, just wait for it to resole itself which takes up to 5 years.
