There is an error in the play by play of the Jets-Lions game in the fourth quarter. It happens on the play that resulted in the penalty that set the Jets up for the tying FG.
The play reads on NFL network & ESPN as:
"(No Huddle, Shotgun) M.Sanchez pass short left to L.Tomlinson pushed ob at NYJ 43 for -1 yards (J.Peterson). DET-A.Smith was injured during the play. PENALTY on DET-J.Peterson, Personal Foul, 15 yards, enforced at DET 43."
The play should be a gain from the NYJ 44 to the Det 43 (where the penalty is enforced) and not a loss of 1 yard. Anyone watching the play knows the penalty occured at the end of a positive catch and run by LT2.
The finals are showing as official - is this something they usually review?
