ESPN Fantasy Football Show (1 Viewer)

However, there was not enough knowledgable meta-commentary on the draft. Some kind of a knowledgeable presence was needed to put the picks in context. Don't let Suzy get away with a weak argument for picking a D in the fourth round. Have a commentator on hand to challenge her, and demonstrate how D/ST value doesn't plummet so fast that an early pick is justifiable. That ESPN fantasy expert Eric Carabell (sp?) could have served this role ... but he barely had any face time.
I've also noticed that former and current players are often bad at fantasy football. On the FOX weekly show, Warren Moon is by far the worst owner in that league, and Andrew Siciliano (who obviously never played) is a lot better.

Oh man, I just finished watching this trainwreck. Absolutely worthless if you were looking for any kind of fantasy info, but 90 minutes packed full of entertainment. Guys not knowing the rules or scoring, nobody really understanding the concept of drafting for value, flawed arguments all over the place. Awesome. The only problem I had was that they kept ripping on Jaws for taking 2 RBs with the same bye week (10). He just kept taking the abuse but he should have said, "Yeah well I'll be 9-0 at that point so I'll deal with it then."

Finally finished the show last night. Oy. What a train wreck. I've always liked Tom Jackson, but in this show, he acted like he's never even heard of Fantasy Football. ESPN looked pretty bad for almost 90 straight minutes.

I missed this steaming pile of fecal matter. :X Is there anywhere to see what the final teams are and who drafted them?

If anyone cares......Eric Karabel just did this write-up on how the season turned out for the ESPN League:"Most people figured Suzy Kolber had a rough draft, considering how she reached on Brett Favre in round two and the Steelers defense in round four. And, her running backs are Steven Jackson and Jamal Lewis! But she managed to go 7-6, along with half the eight-team league, thanks to Santana Moss and Marvin Harrison. Jaws went 3-10, Nick Lachay 5-8 and Howie Schwab, Mike Ditka and Steve Young joined Kolber at 7-6. Of that crew, Schwab and Ditka made the playoffs, joining 8-5 teams Nick Bakay and Michael Irvin. Pretty balanced league. How did Jaws go 3-10 with Larry Johnson, Rudi Johnson and the top two QBs, Carson Palmer and Peyton Manning? Bad luck, I guess. Close losses. Teams apparently scored all their points against him. Young missed the playoffs thanks to the LaDainian Tomlinson late-season slump. Schwab led the league in points, thanks to Edgerrin James, Clinton Portis and Matt Hasselbeck. Live on that show I said Bakay had the best team, and he's made me look smart by getting to the title game. He currently leads Ditka 98-73 and should win it. Ditka had trounced top seed Irvin by 73 over two weeks, thanks to Tiki Barber and Tom Brady. Bakay beat Schwab by 21. Having Shaun Alexander and Steve Smith helps. "
