ESPN Premium Insider Content (1 Viewer)

Engel is horrendously bad, but the other guys are ok.

I just like it for the ESPN mag, ESPN radio insider (all archived interviews) & Bill Simmons article archive. The insider stuff is actually pretty good for the price. Its pretty cheap.

:lmao: as for fantasy advice it is pretty basic stuff but like you said the other content is good..

Much like a man who discards a credit card offer in the mail for a 20% APR, I will stick with my FBG subscription.

FBG = content and fantasy tools

ESPN = fantasy content BY tools

I get the mag from those discount sites for something like $3/yr and insider comes with it. :lmao: Just have to make sure they don't bill me the full price after my sub. runs out.

Is this the kind of fantasy advice you get when you pay for it at ESPN? lol

don't build too much depth, though - it will make your lineup decisions too tough
It doesn't exactly make me want to see the rest of the article.
Not a whole lot of insight there. However, it is true. I'm constantly pulling my hair out trying to play the best matchups because I always have too much depth. And it never fails...my bench almost always outscores my starters!

Speaking of fantasy advice.. did Peter King offer up any more gems this week after he begged everyone to bench Westbrook last week or has he given up?

Pretty sure I have the worst "coaching rating" in the entire league when it comes to this ... And I think I'm the only one who's a FBG using the cheatsheets for reference. :hot:

Same thing is happening to me too. I had a great draft, but always end up with bench guys blowing up. I am currently trying to package up a combo of some of my depth for an upgrade in a single player. Deciding on starters each week starts messing with your head.

There's a thread around here tracking him - he's hitting something like 2 out of every 3 this year, so it's not too bad.

Isn't seeing how you would've done with your benched players and then kicking yourself the same thing as looking at river cards in poker and deciding how you should've played the hand? If you did the analysis, went with the best projections you could get your hands on (whether your own, FBG, some other sources, or a mixture of those) and played the players that gave your the best shot at winning, shouldn't that be good enough? I'm not saying you shouldn't look at your benched players and try to see maybe you overlooked something so you can improve for the future, but you did the best with the information you had and that should be good enough. Don't be that guy who sits at a blackjack tables and moans about how he should've hit his 18 after watching a 3 come out of the shoe.

.... sorry, just can't make any connection between these two whatsoever. What'll they think of next? "MTV" and "music" in the same sentence?

Case in point this week- Pick 2: Harrison, Fitzgerald, Edwards, Curtis, HIKE! :loco:

I agree they have some really good content overall.

i don't completely disagree...

i often trade away a lot of my depth for minor upgrades... normally 2 for 1 deals...

i'm also the type who trades someone his 6th, 7th and 8th round picks for their 4th round pick...

i don't just do this to get a slightly better roster - i do it so i don't have to make too many roster decisions...

my goal by week 7 of every year is to have traded myself into having a starting lineup full of studs...

even if that means i traded away all my depth...

I've already achieved this goal this year... and have made about 5 trades to get this way...

and i've done that consistenly for the last 4 years...

some people may think it's fun to have to make roster decisions week to week..

i don't...

I pretty much do the same thing each year. I find desperate teams and trade them 2 or 3 for 1 type deals. Many times it helps both teams, because they get 2 guys they can start, where I am trading a few guys that are producing but not making it into my starting lineup because of my depth.
