ESPN Recap of Titans/Colts (1 Viewer)

the hairy scotsman

Footballguy
Young, who looked so poised in becoming the first rookie quarterback to lead two comebacks of 14 points or more in 2006, finally showed his youth.

He stopped a drive just before halftime when flagged for taunting after running out of bounds, and Manning drove the Colts to a field goal after getting the ball back.

The Titans had 98 seconds left and needed a field goal to win and improve to 2-0 for the first time since 1999. Young was sacked on the first play. He overthrew Brandon Jones on third down, then the Colts collapsed around Young on fourth down and he fumbled.
He didn't overthrow Jones. Young threw a good pass, just above eye level, that would have put the team into position to try a long, GW FG. Jones dropped that pass, which hit him in the hands. He didn't fumble. He shoveled the ball to an OL who later fumbled.

Nice. No, I just hate newspaper guys who can't get #### straight, then report it as fact to an otherwise unknowing public. Working as a firefighter, there are many, many times that I've had first hand knowledge of events that ended up being reported incredibly inaccurately in the media. Details were even manufactured. The public doesn't know any better, so they think that's what really happened, and these guys have zero accountability anymore, apparently. There's tons of this crap in sports, too.

...not that I need to explain myself to the likes of you.
