I've noticed ESPN Wk 1 projections are up and there were a couple of notable projections to go over. I think it would be fun to see the shark pool's reactions to some of the higher or lower ones. Keep in mind these projections are for a .5 ppr league with 6pt TD's.
ADP is at 2pts and this is understandably low to me at least regarding the thought process behind it e.g. Gerhart will take the majority of rushes.
However Peyton Hillis is also at 2pts and that is an eyebrow raiser they think ATL Run D is that good?
Peyton Hillis low projection makes me definitely question him as a week 1 starter but I'll still throw him out there. But we haven't seen anything yet this year. Up until week 1 its all mostly speculation.
Now I know many of you will completely scoff at the idea of taking any projection too literally but ESPN is a professional outlet and they more than anybody risk credibility if they miss the mark completely not to mention it is their profession. And what is your profession?!
In short, for this thread to work: (What do you gain from ESPN projections? and/or who do you see as being too lowly projected or too highly projected and why?)
