[*]If draw on any game, that game gets added to next week's target
Do I have this correct?Week 1: Pick Team A

Week 1 Result: Team A draws: can't use Team A anymore but no loss is added to your count

Week 2: Pick Team B and C

Week 2 Result: Team B draws, Team C wins: still no losses

Week 3: Pick Team D and E

Week 3 Result: Team D wins, Team E loses, one loss on record

Week 4: back to picking just a single team
correctETA: It may seem like this makes it easy, but "wasting" draws with top teams will make things very difficult in the end...
thanks!could a person theoretically win the survivor pool with out picking a single winner?
lol, no, since you have to roll over the draws until you get a win. theoretically you could have a player reaching week 12 without picking a winner, but then you would run out of teams to use :D

Can someone explain this to me like I'm Andy Carroll?
:lmao: pick a team to win every week (you can choose from either England, Spain, Italy, Germany)

if you miss 3 times you are out

you can't re-pick teams

that's the easy explanation, the difficulty comes in with a draw. If your team draws, you have to pick an additional game to win the following week.

Do draws roll over indefinitely?

Let's do 25 bucks a head, all money's due by 8/23, start it up 8/24

I'll definitely be in if there's money involved. I think with 25 bucks, we can easily get 15-20 people, and a nice steak dinner for the winner.

But it is still mathematically possible to have a person still in the competition at week 11 with no wins and everyone else at three losses, right?

Example:

In week 1 I pick Everton to win, they manage to draw because well, they are Everton

For week 2 I now have to pick 2 matches, so I pick Fulham and Man City. Fulham wins, Man City loses. I now have 1 loss on the year. If any or both of the games in w2 draws, they gets bumped another week until resolved.

But it is still mathematically possible right, assuming every one else has 3 losses by week 11?
not unless you pick a winner out of the 3 remaining teams in w12, but I guess it would be possible...

18 so far

I don't think the $'s matter much, so I'm good for anything.
Yeah, I'd probably do it for $0, honestly. $20 fine with me.
$20 sounds good to me. We have plenty of people now it looks like and can probably recruit a few more.Who is going to hold the money?
 I don't mind as long as it's paypal. I never use my account, but it's still there, I just verified. Only thing I have to do is to send it back to the winners, no?

I have a Personal account type, does that mean fees?

I am going to add Eephus to the "potential" list as well, bringing it to 19 so far, and willing to bet TRE will be in when he gets back online, which would be 20.

I think as long as it's sent as a gift everything is fine. For that EPL Fantasy League that Eephus is running I had to pay a $1.03 fee on $25, but I think that was because I used my debit card. I think there are ways to submit a gift payment without incurring fees, although I may be confusing leaguesafe and paypal.

There are no fees if everyone sends their money as a personal gift.

I had money in my pay pal account and there were no fees for me to send the 25 to Eephus as a gift. So your guess about the debit card may be valid

I'm good with that... just need to settle on an amountanyone opposed of having the weeks start with main Bundesliga day (Friday)?

I figure we just post here?
Appoint only one person to handle the spreadsheet and have everyone post their picks in here or via pm's. If people are scared that others will steal their knowledge by posting in here, they can always just post at the last second I guess.

Or just use spoiler tags when you post your pick in here. Don't look at other people's picks until the gameweek is over.

Pretty sure someone will win this in less than 20 weeks, do theoretically you could win only doing EPL games

I know this was talked about BUT, it's the guy who picked 2 GKs in a row last year

If you have a draw week 1 and then 2 draws in week 2, do you pick 4 teams in week 3?

I could go either way on this. On the one hand, it would give me a good excuse to check DBL and LFP tables and fixtures on a weekly basis. On the other hand, it would force me to have to check DBL and LFP tables and fixtures on a weekly basis.

I think draws should count same as a win. Making Survivor mean anything but a loss. Just my thought on it. I'm in either way.

I'm out. I just don't have the gumption to put in the effort on pouring over non-EPL games.
Actually, I'm here as well. Didn't realize this is gonna require a bit more than I thought at first. Sorry :(
I think our questions about the draws and subsequent explanations are making this look bigger than it is. It should take no more than 10 minutes a week in most cases, especially early in the year.

I'm good either way, and it would certainly make things easier.
Lets just roll with this and get things settled. I think the sooner we finalize the rules, the better chance we have of lots of players....the more complicated the rules, the more people will shy away. With draws equaling wins, interest will continue deeper into the season. With three losses to get eliminated, we should make it past the New Years....more trash talking, more fun.

 yeah, much easier... anyone opposed?
