Falcons at Saints (1 Viewer)

Brees picked. Nice play by ATL Falcons rookie DB.

Ryan sacked on 1st down. Didn't expect so much defense in this game!

Brees was pinned back and looked to be getting a good drive going but stalls at Midfield. Punt is downed inside the 10 for ATL. Not much to report last few drives.

SJax works hard hurdling a defender for 4 yards. Then catches a screen for a nice gain and 1st down. Then another screen for 2.

Atlanta takes over at their own 9. SJax runs right for 4. Given the NO pass rush, nice call on the screen to SJax for 17. On first down Ryan dumps to Jackson for 2. Jackson takes a breather and Quizz comes in. Screen to Julio incomplete. 3rd and 8... from the shotgun Ryan throws to Harry Douglas who appears to make the catch but holding on the play backs them up ten. Review shows the catch looks good. 3rd and 18 Ryan gets pressured, escapes the rush and dumps it off to Snelling for a gain of 7. Punts to Sproles who returns it 5 yards to the 28.

Brees from his own 28 has all day and hits Watson for a first down. Ingram runs about ten yards east-west and hits circle twice only to lose 3 on first down. Brees hits Sprolsey on the wheel route down the right sideline for 33! Next play they give to Sproles who runs right and only picks up a yard but there's an Atlanta lineman shaken up on the play.

On 2nd and 9 Brees rolls right and gets sacked by Umnooyroro. On 3rd and long he throws a nice pass over the LB and hits Colston who takes a lick but hangs on. Colston comes off the field but it's 1st and 10 Saints on the ATL 12. Ingram runs left but gets creamed. Short pass to Pierre Thomas who loses a yard after a nice tackle. On 3rd and 9, Brees hits Moore who is wrapped up right away bringing up 4th and 2 from the 4 and the Saints are going for it. After trying to draw the defense offsides, Brees calls timeout and brings on the kicking unit for a 22 yard attempt. It's good. Still holding out hope on the over...

Looked like the last play was designed for Julio again, and again he couldn't get off the bump at the line. Big physical WR like him and he couldn't get off the LoS in the redzone all day.

ATL puts together a good drive but comes up short in the redzone. Saints defense is either looking much improved or ATL's o'line is shaky.

Offensive Line is terrible. I'm not a fan of the playcalls in the redzone either.

All in all though, I'm simply sick of seeing the same thing everytime in these types of games. Drive the ball down to the goal line and not be able to put it in. Last year vs. the Saints, 49ers in the championship, and now this again.

I like Ryan, but he really doesn't seem to have 'it' when it comes to making a huge play when it counts. He's able to get us in F.G. range in a hurry, but not put it in the endzone from close. It's like he can't read defenses very well when inside the 10.

This one hurt. Not fun going 0-3 in fantasy AND the Falcons losing. I look forward to Sundays for what? :)

IMHO SJax let him down on that 3rd down pass into the endzone. Had he converted that pass and therefore won the game he'd have been the hero.

The Falcons have it at the 4 yard line, they sign the bruiser SJAX, FEED HIM THE FREAKING BALL!!! That being said it worked out splendidly for me. Pissed SJAX didn't score, but was playing M.Ryan -3 on the pick, was starting R.Harper +10 for the int/pd = +13 point swing for me!! They need to rely more on the run though 11 carries for 77 yards, he was having a great game on the ground, just give him the rock.

Well, he did drop the game winning TD pass on 3rd down..

He wouldn't of dropped the pass if they handed if off to him.

He didnt drop it Vaccaro the Saints #1 pick knocked it out and Harper intercepted.

The Falcons gave up on the run because other than the one big run by Jackson the running game was pretty much held in check.

The thing I dont think anyone watching this game expected was the play of the defenses on both teams. I am upgrading both for fantasy purposes.
