Falcons Offense Extra-Motivated This Week? (1 Viewer)

After seeing/hearing what Falcons players like Dunn, Harrington, Hall, etc had to say about the Petrino situation I'm thinking they might come out extra motivated this week if for no other reason than to give a big F-You to Petrino. Especially Dunn, who kind of blamed Petrino for his subpar play this year. Furthurmore, Dunn is up against his former team, Tampa.

It's a nice thought, but their entire, already shortened week has been completely disrupted, their heads have got to be in a different place. They're now down two coaches (Bobby's brother, Paul, was the WR coach), so organization in practice and on the sidelines will be disrupted.

I hope so, but I sure wouldn't pin my playoff hopes on it.

maybe, but they also coming off a shorter week from playing on Monday night, are dealing with the media distraction, and have people doing a job that they are not used to (new head coach) - preparation will take a hit

All the motivation in the world is not going to make their O'line healthy. Football games are won in the trenches & with all the injuries, the Falcons plain & simply don't have an NFL caliber O'line right now.

I don't think Atlanta wins this week, but I think it's going to be closer than most think. They'll put up a good effort and won't get blown out.

"Today we got probably the best news of the year when they decided to name Coach Emmitt the head coach," safety Lawyer Milloy said. "It's well deserved. That's the one guy in this locker room guys will play hard for the last three games."

[Emmitt Thomas] "Everybody is saying how glad they are I got this position, but they can prove it to the whole organization and the fans by going out there and playing hard on Sunday."

 Maybe. Would sure be a nice change of pace.

Maybe Norwood has a chance at a 100 yard game. Otherwise, I expect to see about the same Falcon team.

Sad thing is, that if I were a Falcons fan, I would be rooting for a loss.
