Fanduel - expert vs standard vs beginner (1 Viewer)

Have any of you seen any advantage in going with one vs the others? Last year I was playing expert leagues thinking the tighter salary cap would give me an advantage with less luck involved, but then I thought possibly all the fish were flocking to the beginner leagues. Of course, I like to swim with the fishies. Anyone have any input on which leagues offer the best advantage for experienced fantasy footballers?

I don't feel an advantage to a higher or lower salary cap. There is a lot more action at 60k figure, and if you pay close enough attention you can find more 3-10 team leagues with a high percentage of guppies. Last year I searched profiles of those already in the league before joining. :)

The team I posted for week 1 in the other thread was pretty weak. It missed on a few 50-50s, but it won two 3 team leagues and 2 five team leagues.

Can't speak for long-term, but I played in a few 60k and one 55k 50/50 this weekend and the score required to place was pretty similar. Here was the 10th place score (last in the money) in each league...

60k: 105.42

60k: 106.78

60k: 118.82

55k: 108.38

The $25 50/50 league I did last week, 10th place scored 115.62.

This would be an interesting thing to track.

It would be good track all of these variables.

Contests that start on Thursday versus contests that start on Sunday.

Contests that open for registration early in the week versus contests that open for registration late in the week.

H2H vs 50/50 vs other formats.

$65K vs $60K vs $55K.

FanDuel vs DraftStreet vs StarStreet vs DraftDay vs DraftKings etc . . .

Some of the factors are difficult to compare directly. How do you know if DraftStreet has tougher competition than FanDuel? Ultimately, I think you just have to play a lot at both and keep track of your ROI at each place.

did you use a feature at fanduel? Or some external site to see the profitability of the people already in the league?
You can't get profitablity, afaik. What you can see is how often they've won and how long they've played. Here's 3 in a league waiting for five:

Two guys who just signed up and have a win between them. Another guy with 10 wins since 2011. I'll give those guys a shot. I almost feel like I shouldn't be sharing this tip, but wth.

FanDuel has far and away the most action. Draft Street is a distant second. I think they give a better chance to face casual competition. I was crushing StarStreet to week ten last year, but that place filled with sharks. It would be great if the more involved settings at less popular sites had the number of players as FanDuel. I prefer Draft Street overall because it's pretty busy and has a more complicated lineup, 2qbs, 2flex, no derned kicker. I have small stakes everywhere else because I'm a junkie, but Draft Street is where I've committed 80% of my funds for this.
