Fanduel Week 11 (1 Viewer)

Time start forming lineups for this upcoming week. Spiller looks like a great play with Fred Jackson ruled out on Thursday.

Agreed, his price is pretty high for his recent production, but he is a top 5 RB this week...I have him third behind Foster and Martin.

Alot of tough matchups for RBs this week: Forte, Gore, McGahee, Richardson, and McCoy.

I've withdrawn most funds from my various related accounts. Taking a break until after Thanksgiving. I will be on business travel/vacation in Vegas, LA and Hawaii for most of the next two weeks and I'm not staring at this addiction when I can be staring at bikinis. Besides, I'll be in Vegas for five days. I think they have gambling too.

With a total deposit of $550 at seven sites I just withdrew $1900 zeroing balances at StarStreet, DraftDay, Draft Kings, Fantasy Fued and Fantasy Joust. I left small balances at FanDuel to stay in the conversation and DraftStreet because it is likely my permanent home for this addiction. I pretty much sucked so far at those two sites.

My approach this year has been this ridiculous low stakes nickel and dime action. I have to stop it, so I'll either be gone from this topic permanently or come back playing heavier stakes but fewer games at just ONE site in December.

There's a site called RotoWar about to roll out with our buddy Condia as consultant. As I understand it, they're combining the best features of various sites to better them all, and they're doing so with lots of big spender daily degenerate advice. If the launch looks good and they produce as advertised, I'll probably put a grand in an account there and call it home. Otherwise, I'm leaning towards DraftStreet despite being cursed there this season. The action at FanDuel is the best but the limited lineups emphasizing kickers and Ds sends the luck factor through the roof. This isn't gambling... my ###. DraftStreet has the best combo of good action and advanced settings. The lion's share of my withdrawal is coming from Joust and StarStreet. We'll see. Good luck all.

Current FanDuel lineup.

I am going to do some sampling this week. My plan is to enter 5-10 Thursday 50/50s and then publish the results in my Saturday article. My thought is the Wisdom of the crowds will likely result in some of the best possible rosters.

Entered seven 50/50s all at 20 roster spots. I will publish the results Thursday night here. I think it should tell an interesting story.

Thanks David, quite helpful info.

This should put my primetime lineup in the money 50/50 as many folks have FJax going. Curently in 2nd place with only 86 pts and done. Scoring has been so low this should cash.

;) Draft Day is the only site to pay up so far. Speaking of which, I finished top 20 in a 3000 entry free roll there last week and top 40 in a different 2000 entry freebie. Neither paid much, but the point is I had strong teams last week and that also made it feel like a good time to step aside considering I've been mostly treading water for weeks.

I withdrew $50 from FanDuel which is double my deposit and I left that much again in there, but sheesh, the amount of time spent for so little...

Now, with this wisdom of crowds idea this week I'm wondering -- if I make a deposit after withdrawal do I still get in the depositor's freeroll!? :football:

Condia was on a rotogrinders podcast last year & I found the episode very interesting. He was definitely not who I envisionedhttp://rotogrinders.com/podcasts/Rotogrinders_Daily_Fantasy_Fix_9_28_11-20

Condia episode. I believe the interview is about 7-8 minutes into the show. I really found his bankroll management baffling

:goodposting: lol condia. Saw him post in the Fanduel chat today a little bit. Funny reading people asking him stuff or kissing his ###. He did say he had a job...so maybe he's given up golf. Doesn't seem like the consultant type but I'm sure that interview wasn't his best effort.

I am currently entered into 14 different leagues on Fanduel this week including the Thursday night game between Miami & Buffalo.

I am playing the same line-up in all 14 leagues. I will post the line-up after kick off.

Hint: I only have one player in my line-up for Thursday night.

Who is it?

Tune in after kick off to find out!

What are you talking about. Fan duel has paid up every week! Please explain your comment.Edited to add: Yes you do get your free-roll with a deposit even if you do withdraw.

I have yet to make an actual initial deposit into Fanduel. Do they run specials of different deposit bonuses that I should be on the lookout for? I've seen this for other sites. I see something on there that says to contact them for a custom deposit bonus, I'm assuming this is for greater than $200. Right now, a $200 deposit gets a $30 deposit bonus.

If you get them to code you as a FBG, you'll get $10 on a $25 deposit plus a free FBG subscription. Speaking of which, I didn't get my e-mail from FBG confirming this David. Should I e-mail Carlton?

Regarding bonuses, I've played roughly 200 low stakes games and they've released $3.92 of the $10 bonus. It seems like it drips in.

Ya I'm already set up like that. I did just pay for a 3-yr subscription before this season. I'm assuming they would tack on the end of that. What I'm getting at is it seems like other sites are offering alot more in bonus money than Fanduel, but it's probably because Fanduel is more established and they don't need to make those offers. I was just wondering if anyone has noticed Fanduel running specials from time to time better than their current matches.

8 hours after I had requested 6 withdrawals only DraftDay had paid up. This morning all sites are square. Sorry if my comment was confusing.

Might I make an additional recommendation on how to look at the data, David? It certainly is nice to know how the crowds are assembling their lineups for Sunday, BUT I'm more interested to know how the lineups of the 'masses' differ from the lineups of the 'pros.' In other words, what players consistently show up on the pros' rosters versus the guys who are just playing around for $2 here and $5 there? You have 7 leagues of 20 players/league, which equates to data for 140 different rosters. Of those, I suspect that between 1/4 to 1/3 will be from guys who play > $500 per week on FanDuel, etc; since they're playing this kind of money on a weekly basis, it most likely means they're making money (or else they'd be gone!).Perhaps you could list 2 analyses: 1) Overall distribution of players on all 140 rosters, and 2) Distribution of players on rosters generated by people who have won > $2000 on the site (this info can be found by clicking on the player's profile)?I've been spending hours upon hours over the past few weeks doing different spreadsheets looking for angles to exploit...this information would be yet another way to make informed decisions. I'm happy to help with the analysis if your time is limited...just PM me.

This is the week to roll 55k expert leagues. Marcell Reece and Daniel Thomas are so cheap that you can fill the rest of the roster out with studs.

Fanduel/Draftstreet week 11 best plays:http://fantasy-footballu.com/draftstreetfanduel/
1) Danario is playing @DEN- I don't really like any receiving option on SD other than Gates (TEs do well vs DEN).2) Alex Smith looks like he could be OK to start vs. CHI. If Cutler doesn't play, I don't like CHI D as much this week.

I think the play this week is to go with Rookie Nick Foles at QB. At just $5,300, he allows you to fully optimize at the other positions easily. It's a high risk / high reward play that I intend to use on nearly all of my lineups.

I have read that article in the past, but don't put too much weight on it. They are wrong more often then right on their picks...they have a few good value plays this week in Palmer and Jackson. I personally like rotogrinders for this type of information. Again, they are not perfect, but provide a little better analysis.

I have been thinking about this exact play this week, with Washington bad against the pass. What type of statline do you think he puts up? 275 yds/2 TD/1 INT?

Going to put him in Thurs lineups. There was chatter among the chatties over there acting like Vick isn't out for sure. Then save Reese for Sunday lineups to make sure McFadden is out.

I'm sticking with Palmer- been rolling with him for the past month and it's the Saints! I want to pair him with Hayward-Bey, but the injury is a concern.

Donnie Avery is a lock at WR this week. I also like Ridley in this game, but the RB rotation is unpredictable.

Had Palmer plugged in to my Thurs lineups, & wasn't even thinking of Reece. The longshot RB has not been good to me in this contest.

Playing with the lineups & fitting in some stud WRS & TE makes it appealing to roll with longshot RB/QB combo of Reece/Foles & see if it hits. Choices & more choices...

lol, yeah you can't trust that chat board on FD. Way too many people throwing out bogus claims.

went with Foles and Reece in all 12 of my Thursday lineups. I think it's the correct play. I have some serious guns everywhere else.

I've been weighing this strategy as well, but the Skins pass D has actually improved over the last couple of games against two good QBs, holding Roth and Cam under 225 yds passing each. Granted they gave up 4 pass TDs total, but only 1 to a WR. 82 yds was the most they gave up to any WR. Now they are coming off a bye against a rookie QB on a team they know pretty well. The equally weak Titans pass D made Tannehill look ridiculous in week 10 on the road. Foles could be in for more of the same. But at $5,300, it might be worth the risk.

Snuck 'em in one lineup just to justify all the time I spent thinking about this today. :bag:

Starting Foles/Reece allows for Wayne/Roddy/Calvin trio at WR. That is hard to pass up.

Anyone play NBA on FD?

Started Lindell in all my line-ups so I would have a reason to watch tonight's game. Started Donald Jones in a couple line-ups that allowed for Foster/Martin Duo at RB. We shall see! Good luck to all.

Edited to add My favorite line-ups so far:

Palmer

Martin

Reece

Colston/V. Jackson

Wayne

D. Moore/ S. Smith

Graham/Gronk

Lindell

Cincy/Houston

With DHB pulling a Hammy today, I'm probably going to replace him with TY Hilton against the Pats. With that secondary, and the possibility of garbage time, he could be a steal at $5,100.

If you believe in Wisdom of the Crowds is smarter than any one expert, you get the following optimized lineup for the 50/50 contests:

QB Carson Palmer

RB Doug Martin

RB Marcel Reece

WR Reggie Wayne

WR Denarius Moore

WR Danny Amendola

TE Jimmy Graham

PK Shayne Graham

Def Houston Texans (Extra cap spent here as an upgrade over Atlanta)

or if you prefer to stick with Atlanta Defense:

QB Carson Palmer

RB Doug Martin

RB Marcel Reece

WR Reggie Wayne

WR Denarius Moore

WR Marques Colston

TE Jimmy Graham

PK Shayne Graham

Def Atlanta Falcons

I have to admit that this second roster looks very, very good

Yup, gotta admit, It's been a rough year both in yearly leagues and DS and FD. The magic from last year is gone, hopefully I cant turn it around in the coming weeks.to the point on Danario- I think he helps the Chargers offense more than people are thinking. Rivers is still an elite deep ball passer and for the price that you can get Alexander, I think it's a must.A WR2 until he gets hurt in my opinion
