Fantasy Auctioneer for 2008 Season - bugs fixed? (1 Viewer)

I'm a commish of a league switching to an auction format this year and I'm thinking about using Fantasy Auctioneer. I'm reading about the issues last year with respect to FA and I'm wondering if there have been improvements this year or if anyone has had a positive experience this year. Thanks.

12 of us did 22 rounds in the Ultimate Survivor last night. It went okay. I don't know if server loads will bring back all the issues or not. IE and Firefox seemed to both work. Some people were falling in and out and having hangups, but overall, we go through it without major incident. I think things are "the same".

It seems to be working pretty good so far this year BUT the real test as we all know is the last week of Aug and first week Sept.

I spoke with owner of FA - George P that told me they've improved their network and systems to handle heavier loads this year AND built in better controls to limit the load at peak times.

I've used FA for 3+ years now and will use them again in 2008. My main auction league had some very ugly problems last year with a Sept draft at peak time so we agreed as a group to move it up earlier.

FA customer service is 2nd to none. I just hope they better handle the peak loads this year. Hope that helps.

I got booted off 4 times using firefox and my AI screwed up my draft while I was gone. I seemed to be the only one with major problems. I switched to a different computer, ran firefox and it was fine. I think it was the computer I was using the first time.

I've used FA 10+ times over the last 3 years for $ leagues. The biggest problem is owners that don't spend the time to test and prepare before hand.

OR they don't test on the same computer and internet connection as the one they will be using on auction time.

Every auction has 1 or 2 guys that have connection issues and they are usually the ones the don't test ahead of time.

Well I guess I have my answer. Fantasy Auctioneer is a total piece of crap. My draft that has been scheduled for a month is tomorrow and I can't even get on the site.

Their excuse of some 13 year old hacker is trashing their site, is an embarrassment. I mean don't offer a product to the marketplace if you can't deliver. If I'm building a website the first thing I would do is worry about security.

I should have known better than to use some mickey mouse website.

Anyone looking to use this site don't.

Sorry pal but bad business plans deserve to go broke.

Totally brutal.
