Fantasy baseball websites (1 Viewer)

We're getting together a fantasy baseball league at work. I've played fantasy football for years but this will be my 1st year playing baseball. 10 team league with 4 guys who have played a fantasy baseball and 6 guys with no experience. I need the baseball version of footballguys.com. I need a site that can really help me prepare for the draft.

What site do you guys think is the best out there?

rotojunkie.com - but I'm biased, of course

melnickandgrecofantasysports.com has just re-launched and looks nice

2nd the fantasybaseball.com vote - good people there

Thanks...this is very helpful for a newb like me! :excited:

Just go to www.rotolab.com and purchase their software. It's updated weekly and keeps track of your draft. Customizable too.

fantasybaseball.com all the way.

I ponied up $15 for Rotojunkie's "Fix" and wasn't impressed.... then dropped the $30 for the FantasyBaseball.com Platinum subscription. Night and Day difference. Much more complete information and the draft tools are fantastic.

I haven't been back to Rotojunkie since buying the Fix, and I probably won't. waste of $15 if you ask me when compared to what else is out there. (sorry if that offends anyone involved in the project... just giving my honest opinion on it).

After my leagues upped their prices its about time i invested in one of these. Is platinum worth it? I started with gold but see im not getting some stuff. Im not in an auction league.

Just wondering what you would be looking for? Projection of players, dollar values for Only and Mixed leagues. Comprehensive minor league information. I play in two deep AL and NL only leagues and it is all I use.

Platinum has tons more articles. The "live Advice" section is cool.. basically you can open an IM window with one of the top brass over there (Zola, hook, etc) and they give you one on one advice on any questions you have. Tested it out last night regarding castillo and had a nice 5 min chat with Todd Zola about him and some basic strategy. They are very helpful and IMHO that feature alone is worth it.

The amount of strategy articles... analysis, etc. Seems way better on FBB.com. Also, their draft worksheet (gold) is awesome... key in a players name and it kicks back 3 year data, projections, values, ADP, plus a nice writeup on each player. all in a nice little spreadsheet. I simplified it further because of preference, but it's a great tool.

You did not see that on the team pages with a break down of the last 3 years and 2008 projections. It provides games played at position and all permanent information including OB% SLG% and even BABIP. They even provide contract status.

Believe it or not, ESPN doesn't look that bad this year

CHEAT SHEET

The addition of Jason Grey to the ESPN family is a good thing
agree. espn has great new writers -- grey, chris harris, some more tout wars and LABR guys -- bigtime experts there. and the fact that live scoring and other ##### you have to pay for on other sites is FREE on espn, that sealed the deal for me. they had server issues last year due to volume of players, but i got an email saying their #1 offseason job was upgrading the tech side, so all should be good to go. i have 3 leagues, 2 espn, one cbs (only 'cause it's my FF league and we just stayed there). as someone else said, rotojunkie.com is awesome (click on "bullpen" for forums like this one), as is fantasybaseballcafe.com
