Just read a neat article by John Tuvey at Fanball.

The article is about players donating to the Gridiron Greats ("a collective of current NFL players looking to help former players who have fallen on hard times and don't find the help they need from the NFLPA, their pension, and their medical plan"). The gist of it is maybe Fantasy Football hobbyists could donate a little...

Excerpt:

...But if you ever watched Campbell shred tacklers and jerseys, if you have childhood memories of Walter Payton or Jerry Rice or Chuck Foreman or Marion Motley, if Dan Marino or Bobby Hebert or George Blanda ever helped you win your fantasy league maybe your league kicks in the transaction fees for the season to Gridiron Guardians as a way of saying thanks. Maybe you donate one weekly high score prize or half of the Toilet Bowl prize money. Maybe everybody in your league kicks in the cost of one beer at your season-end party.

It's a nice idea. Personally, I'm donating part of any award I get to the Wounded Warriors.

Donating to a good charity of your choice is always a good thing, in FF it makes sense to donate to the Gridiron Greats.

I wouldn't give any money to the 'Plastic Surgery for Old Movie Stars' fund if current celebs backed it either.
