For playing together, you just need to join a league at the same time as it fills up.

This is a deal breaker for me. Maybe next year they can set up a way to lock up particular leagues for Sharkpoolers only. E.g. using a special code or something simple like that in order to enter. Your current solution doesn't work. Too many randoms will join if we are talking about the generic leagues on their broader site.

Also, anyway to see who we'd be playing with? I'm in with LawFitz, it would be cool to ensure I was in with a bunch of the regular posters here.

And would there be any way to do away with team defense from the league if all league members agreed on it. The settings all look pretty great, but man do I hate the luck and volatility of team defense mucking up the scores every week haha.

It's my understanding LeagueSafe reports everything as they're required to by law for all IRS things. Partnering with a company and people I trust like that was important.

There isn't a way to change the scoring settings. I know everyone has opinions on what's best but we felt this was the best all inclusive way. New kickoff rules are going to bring an extra level of fun and strategy there as some teams will likely adapt better than others.

Yeah I just didn't know the exact requirements for the reporting. I know typically there are certain dollar amounts that serve as thresholds for internal reporting, but it gets so convuluted. Even within casino gambling, numbers differ from slots to table games to bingo. Gets crazy. Appreciate you helping put this together!

For contest leagues using LeagueSafe (such as FBG Home Leagues, or SafeLeagues), over $599 net receives a 1099, yes.

For real, though…it would be great if for next year FBG/LeagueSafe/Sleeper can figure out a way to create a new league and simply NOT post it on the list of avaiable leagues to join, and then we can coordinate 12 owners from the message board to join it.
I don’t care if it happens this year since I’m a bit oversubscribed right now but for next year I’m hoping this isn’t too high a bar to get over since I imagine we could get at least one, if not more, “board regulars” leagues formed.

Ya I think there are a lot more subscribers than we think, that aren't on the boards (For example, I think in the subscriber contest only like 1% of entries were in that message board thread).

I guess it depends if you care about playing with guys in here or not. I don't overly care, but it could be a lot more fun for sure. Also though, a lot of us talk on here about who we like, who we don't, etc... so there's a lot of intel into who will be picking who if we are ONLY using people from these boards.

I think a good way would be to post what league you're in here and people could join it if they want to play against you? You can also pick a league that hasn't even started to fill yet (say... FBG League #9) and we could put that in the thread like "everyone in here who wants to join, join #9"

I think this is a huge opportunity here. Have a staffer in certain leagues (maybe higher stakes ones) and I think they will probably always fill up very quickly.

It seems like the slow drafts are done, we might have to do a live draft which limits some of those signed up. I think if we all just pick a time to sign up for a league then we could fill it with just us.

At LeagueSafe go to My Leagues. The league you paid for should be on your list. Click on it. The link will be on that page and on pc the link is cut and paste.

I was wondering if you might consider hosting FBG Home Leagues in a dynasty format. I know that 12 of us do a SharkPool dynasty league at a competing site that takes a pretty big fee out of the prize pool so I’d love to know if we could move it over to an FBG Home League on Sleeper with your more reasonable commishing fees than that competing site?

It's possible we might expand to Dynasty in the future. We'll try to take a look there in February.
