Fantasy Team Needs Help From The Experts. (1 Viewer)

Ok so this is my rookie season of fantasy baseball. 10 team CBS league with their basic scoring system. Small bench. The league seems pretty solid with no weak teams except for maybe me. I know its early, but come Monday I'm looking strongly at 0-2. I have the fewest points this week by a lot, but I still have some pitching matchups left. Here is my team:

C Jorge Posada NYY

1B Mark Teixeira TEX

2B Chase Utley PHI

3B Troy Glaus TOR

SS Felipe Lopez WAS

RF Bobby Abreu NYY

CF Ryan Church WAS

CF Torii Hunter MIN

FLEX Prince Fielder MIL

P Chris Capuano MIL

P Vicente Padilla TEX

P Jonathan Papelbon BOS

P Jake Peavy SD

P Adam Wainwright STL

P Brandon Webb ARZ

P Barry Zito SF

-Bench-

1B Nick Johnson WAS (He was on the waiver wire, so i figured ok)

SS Orlando Cabrera LAA

LF Hideki Matsui NYY

CF Juan Pierre FLA

C Paul Lo Duca NYM

P Javier Vazquez CHW

Next week I think i'm going to start Orland Cabrera at SS instead of Felipe Lopez. I also think i'm going to start Javier Vazquez, but I'd like to see how Vicente Padilla does this weekend. I think next week Vazquez faces Padilla in a pitching matchup. In general, I like my pitching maybe except for Barry Zito. Don't know about him yet. But it's hard to give up on a guy like him. Utley and Teixeira haven't helped so far. What should I do? I like my team. It's hard to give up on some of these guys. Should I wait for these guys to get the ball rollin or should I be making some moves. Pitching wise Ramon Ortiz, Gil Meche, Kip Wells, Kevin Millwood, still available. Hitters available are Orlando Hudson, Ty Wigginton, David DeJessus, Melvin Mora, Luis Gonzalez, Juan Uribe? He's been playing well. Sorry if this is long. Thanks for the help

Don't drop Zito - he's just had a couple of rough outings. He'll be back.

You're also being hurt by Teixeira's terrible start. He'll hit soon.

I'd pick up Wigginton.

Remember, baseball is a marathon, not a sprint like football. You can't drop good players because of a few bad games.

I would drop Vicente Padilla and pickup Millwood, and drop Lo Duca for Wigginton.

And Utley's terrible start. I'd drop 1) Johnson and pick up Hudson and maybe deal Utley for a BIG bopper. Obviously don't sell low on Utley.OR2) Johnson and pick up Wiggington. At least he's playing now and he qualifies at 3 positions.OR3) Johnson and pick up Meche or Wells. You can never have enough pitching and if they continue to pitch well you can deal from strength.Don't deal Zito for .50 on the dollar. He had a slow start last year too.
