Fantistics or Fantasybaseball.com? (1 Viewer)

I don't have any experience with Fantasybaseball.com so I can't speak to them. However, I did use the Fantistics software last year. I didn't use it in any of my actual drafts but I did use it extensively for draft prep. The coolest thing about it to me was the mock draft feature. You could literally run through a mock draft in a few minutes letting the software pick for the other teams and making your own picks. It was useful to me to be able to try different scenarios. I didn't end up using it for any of my actual drafts last year because all of my drafts are online right now and they tun so fast that I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to keep up during the actual draft.

I also tried Diamond Draft and downloaded the demo version of Rotolab. I think that they would be useful for auction prep but didn't seem as useful for snake drafts. Diamond Draft used to only be about $15 but I think it is now $35 unless you are a returning customer. The demo version of Rotolab didn't impress me that much in comparing the price difference between that and Diamond Draft but there are lots of people who swear by Rotolab and now the price difference isn't that great. I would look at both if you are prepping for an auction.

The other thing I liked about Fantistics was the daily emails. They were invaluable.

Anyone use their draft software? Who do you like better? Is there any draft software people like better?
It would be helpful if you could better define how you want to use it?The Automated Value Calculator (formerly known as P.A.U.L.) at fantasybaseball.com is great for customizing values for different leagues and giving you cheatsheets for your league, but you would have to be very well practiced on it to use it during a draft (although I believe that to be the case with most "draft" programs - one missed player/value and you will struggle to catch up).Their biggest asset is Draft Preparation NOT draft management. But the new version with 2009 projections is slated to be released on 2/1 - hope that helps  thanks [icon]

Fantasybaseball.com doesn't have software that produces cheatsheets based on scoring as easily as fantistics does it? From what I remember is that they give you a spreadsheet but it was up to you to code it based on your scoring.

Check out www.mastersball.com.

They are just vamping up right now, but I know the guys who run it and they will be putting out some great stuff this year, gauranteed.
