Fargo TV series on FX - season 3 starts TONIGHT 4/19!!! (1 Viewer)

Love this show. I grew up in MN, and have driven through Luverne more times than I can count (I also lived in Sioux Falls for 5 years). Unfortunately, I forgot to record Season 2, so I missed the opening episode. Tried to hold off until I found a way to see the opening episode, but couldn't, so I've now seen all of Season 2 (so far) except the season premiere. Anybody know how I can watch that? Does Hulu have Season 2 already, or just Season 1?

I agree 100% with the comments about the grave, by the way. If somebody takes the time to dig a grave, there's a pretty good chance that they're not bluffing. Turn and RUN. Heck, your odds are better of winning a 1-on-2 fist fight, than getting out of that grave alive.

Just binged watched season 2. Amazing show. How many episodes left? I never saw season 1. Gotta eventually watch that. Some great characters. My favorite is Mike Milligan.

Season one is a completely different cast and takes place years later. You'll probably enjoy Billy Bob Thorton's character, Lorne Malvo, in that one.

If you can sign in to your cable/satellite provider, you can watch em on FX's website.

Karl Weathers leaving Milligan (good as he is) in the dust the last couple of weeks.

So in the last few days I've worked "frabjous", "snicker-snack", and "jub-jub bird" into conversation.

Absurd; it isn't even close.Milligan is a much better character.
Personally i like Dodd Gerhartd (Jeffery Donovan - local kid just north of Boston) every scene he`s in drips doom...plays the tough guy perfectly ...so many interesting characters in this series , hard to pick just one favorite

He has that naturally charismatic and menacing hard case vibe like Sterling Hayden in the noir classic Asphalt Jungle (a naval commando and/or in intelligence during WW II, for real?), and is a black belt.

True. Better to say that Karl has been more quotable the last 2 weeks.

Watching the last episode for the fourth time. Does it get much better than Milligan reciting Lewis Carroll?

Exactly. Worst thing about the show is that it's only 10 episodes.
I disagree, that's exactly why it is s good. I wish more shows were short series, the quality would be much better. It's a lot easier to write 10 episodes than write some never ending story line.

I think the limited-series works especially well with crime-oriented shows that deal with a lot of violence, as there's a raised tension in terms of not knowing who's going to get knocked off, no main or titular characters that need to be saved for seasons 3, 4, 5, etc.

I'm not saying it doesn't work well or that it doesn't provide for a tighter script. I'm saying I wish it could be be more episodes (while keeping all it's other qualities of course). I'll miss it when it's gone, which will be soon.

i like to go back and watch a series once a year ...thats just long enough to appreciate it again and again

ill watch season one when this one is officially over and it will be as enjoyable as the first time around

Well, sure. it happens. BB was "a few times a life" series. Most shows arent like that.

Not sure what the point there really is. Any good show, you can go back and watch again and still get enjoyment. Fargo is a very good show, as BB was. As were numerous other shows. I'm re-watching Justified (wife hadn't seen it), which isn't on the same scale as those but I'm enjoying it just as much as the first time. All this really has nothing to do with me wishing Fargo could be 16 episodes instead of 10.

I noticed a few of these

Spienwall:

"Did you do this? No, you did it!!" is perhaps the series' most overtly Coen-y episode by far, with nods at various points to "The Big Lebowski" (Hank offers to cut off his toe, Mike Miligan says "Sometimes, there's a man," and we hear a version of "I Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)" twice), "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" ("O Death" plays), "Miller's Crossing" (Bear not only takes Simone out to the barren woods to kill her, but we hear "Danny Boy" as he prepares to do it), and even "Fargo" itself (Hank's wife died in Brainerd)
