Fatballguys Thunderdome - Sabertooth v Shader (1 Viewer)

So Shader.. how big a fella are you? You a big ole' boy?
5'11 213.5

Not all that strong. I think doughy would be a good word. Want to change that.
I was 6' 210 a few months ago. Got a high blood sugar diag from the doctor.. said I was pre-diabetic, which runs in my family unfortunately.

I cut out sugar as best I could. No more sweet tea, regular ice cream (my biggest weakness), no more cookies, cut out any bread not whole wheat as best I could. Try to cut carbs and generally just eat better. I didn't change my exercise that much at all.. just began to eat better, no snacking on chips, etc. and started taking fish oil. I still eat pizza on occasion, and I love BBQ.

I have been around 185 lbs since before Christmas. That's about the range I want to stay in.

Good luck on your plan.

Just bought this today. My cousin had it sitting in his basement so I thought, what the heck. I've also got free weights and an elliptical.

Down to 210 this morning. 3.5 pounds lost since I first weighed Wednesday.
I jumped on the scale twice this morning. 212.4 and 208.7. Literally 30 seconds apart. If I keep that up, I'll be at my goal by the time State plays tomorrow. I jumped on my other scale and it was around 208 as well. I'm going to get a new one that isn't digital.

Big challenge today. Heading to the in laws for our Easter feast. Hopefully I am ok at weigh in on Monday. Focus Focus!

Gaaaaa.. Two small pieces of carrot cake. Well one legit piece and the I did the shave off the edge routine about 3 times.

So Easter didn't go great but it wasn't a total disaster. After going into ketosis on Thursday I fell out over the weekend. So I have to buckle down now and get back in there. I started using the Bowflex and to be honest, the supposed weights I am pushing around seem light. I maxed out the bench on my first day. But it does have room for one more rod so I'm going to buy that to add weight. Home gym now consists of

Bowflex PR3000

Elliptical Trainer

50 lbs adjustable dumbbells

Still haven't decided to take in a full on ketogenic diet yet. I've got a big party I'm hosting for the NFL draft so I'm thinking just take it easy from there. I have purchased the four hour body book and I do like some of his ideas. I'm not keen on eating beans for every meal or anything like that though. I have adopted his suggestion of taking a picture of everything I eat before I eat it and logging everything I eat meticulously.

So explain how this is possible. I weigt myself last night at 7:00. My weight is 206.6.

At bed time I eat an English muffin with pbj and have a glass of water making my caloric intake for yesterday come to a total of 1523. I wake up this morning and the scale says 208.2.

How does that happen?

Interesting that in 24 days I've lost 8.2 pounds, of which fat is only 4.1 pounds of it. The math says I've lost 4.5 pounds of lean mass. Now I'm thinking "water weight" is probably distributed in that measurement. And let's face it I am just measure my neck, love handles, and waist. Still I am focusing on dropping to 170 lbs. I am about 20% to that goal.

I have not done the keto diet or the 4 Hour Body diet. Just monitoring everything I eat and staying around 1500 calories per day. It isn't even really that hard. I don't eat breakfast. So my first meal is usually eggs or something at around noon.

21.2 lbs down since August 15 using Keto diet.  Going to get down from 218.2 to 168 by my birthday in February if this trend continues.
