I thought it might be fun to see the thoughts and picks of the board after the season was over. I realize that there are still the bowl games, all star games, combine, workouts and some players haven't declared yet, etc.; but this should go quick so we can always do another one in a month or so. I'll post a new team once to twice a day depending on how close it is; with the player previously selected being off the board. If it is close, we'll have a run-off. Any thoughts you'd like to add as we do this would be great.

1.1 - Oakland Raiders - Brady Quinn QB, Notre Dame

1.2 - Detroit Lions - Joe Thomas OT, Wisconsin

1.3 - Cleveland Browns -

1.4 - Tampa Bay -

Does it matter that Cleveland doesn't have the #3 pick yet?

They are tied for it with Tampa.

330 pound DT, that have speed are few and far between. They can find a RB to fill the gap but the difference between AP and a 2nd round RB isn't as big as Branch and another DT. Branch is the pick.

Other.

Whomever the #2 overall OL is on the board (trade down with SF for SF 1, 2, and 3).

SF takes Calvin

I wasn't on the site for the 1st two picks, so a late vote for Joe Thomas to Oakland. RBs, WRs and QBs look much better behind a good line. Gallery needs to go back to guard. Oh, well...

I'll go Branch to Cleveland. When you need to rebuild, go front and center. Both lines need upgrading, and without anybody else on the lines grading out this high, he's my pick. I like A.P. to them, but see above. He'd be about as big of a waste of talent here as Quinn would be to Oakland.

With Branch making a comeback, I'll wait a little while longer before we close this one...
Cool. I did this last year in April. It was fun until it completely fizzled in the second round. Hopefully, this has interest through round one. It's pretty early, but the draftnik activity has been solid so far.I took Peterson here for the Browns.
