ATT breach seems pretty massive and they are really offering nothing to customers except for an oops, our bad. i highly suggest, no matter what, you hit experian and freeze your credit.

You should start a new thread for this.ATT breach seems pretty massive and they are really offering nothing to customers except for an oops, our bad. i highly suggest, no matter what, you hit experian and freeze your credit.
i also did equifaxSo for the first time i froze all 3 of the major credit agencies for both of us as I was part of the ATT breach supposedly. I have LifeLock as well which recommends other agencies to do freezes with. Anyone do any of the others?
What other ones besides the main three are the recommending? Been through this stuff pretty heavily recently with an identity theft with my daughter. Total PITA. We have her info pretty locked down, but it’s never 100%. Sucks. So for the first time i froze all 3 of the major credit agencies for both of us as I was part of the ATT breach supposedly. I did TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian. They also recommend ChexSystems for bank security, NCTUE for utilities checks, employment data freeze with E-Verify, and employment data freeze with Equifax. Not sure if it's worth going through the work for all those extra ones? What other ones besides the main three are the recommending? The only one of those I haven’t done for my wife and I and my daughter is NCTUE. The others aren’t that bad and on E-verify you can also freeze your SS#. Since we did that, my daughter hasn’t had another ID theft issue so far(knock on wood).I did TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian. @Joe Bryant - when I went to log in yesterday I had a pop up from my antivirus (Norton) saying FBG was part of a data breach & passwords were compromised.
I changed mine, not a big deal, happens a lot, but can you confirm if FBG actually had a data breach, and if any other data was known to have been exposed if so? This topic seems to be from a couple years ago, but I got the message yesterday - I'd never seen it before.
Thanks
It didn’t - it was just a vague Norton pop up that “this site was included in a data breach & [my] information was compromised.”Hey @Hot Sauce Guy - we haven't seen anything suspicious, but it would be very helpful if you could tell me whether Norton gave you any information or citation along with the message. Maybe a breach name (individual breaches get actual names now), a date when they detected an issue, or anything else that might help us dig into it.
No worries, man -- a lot of those tools don't give any details. I can say that we don't see anything suspicious. It recommended changing my PW immediately, which I did.
Sorry there weren’t any specific details given.

We only store customer emails, usernames, and customer names (if the customer provides one). We salt and encrypt the passwords so it would take a long time and a ton of CPU to crack one if someone managed to get ahold of it. We don't store any information about customer credit cards -- our payment gateway handles all of that.
I'll keep looking.
