Last year this place was crazy on point with the Top 6 QBs, we were all a little stunned they went so fast and then the NFL had them all by Pick 12, incredible QB class.

GO!!!

The Miami Dolphins are looking to trade DOWN and add a 2nd round pick in this year's Draft
Just putting it out there for anyone behind me that would like to move up

I can take a team that needs someone, since travdogg already has the Bears. I'd prefer a team not in the NFCN.

Edit: I'll track trades here, too.

Trade Tracker

CHI moves up with CLE for Travis Hunter
CHI gets: 2
CLE gets: 10, 39, 41

CLE moves up with JAC for Mason Graham
CLE gets: 5
JAC gets: 10, 41

CLE moves up with ATL in advance
CLE gets: 46
ATL gets: 67, 94, 104

NE trades for Thibodeaux from NYG
NE gets: Kayvon Thibodeaux
NYG gets: 77

ATL moves up with JAC for Shemar Stewart

I can take another team too if needed. I follow the Jets too so if they're open I can take them
Rock is gonna handle the Jets and I am going to run thru the teams that have not been picked, send out some invites tonight but yes we likely need to assign 2 teams for some
And you will be one of them

This is an NFL Draft Chart with values assigned.
It's subjective of course but it shows you what you can do if you want to try and trade picks within the 1st/2nd/3rd round

@RC94 did you allow teams to trade future picks?
Yes, there were a bunch of trades. Just try to use that chart so it's relatively fair. The point is to be somewhat realistic rather than trying to win the trade. In fact, I'm putting 1.03 on the block...

I could take a second team if needed. We could also ping the people who drafted last year who haven't made an appearance in this thread yet.

Or we could give it a couple of days to fill. Last year we took 5 days to fill the GM spots and then just under a week for the draft.

What are the specs? Haven't participated in a mock here before.
You are the GM, in this case we'll say the Browns.
You have the No 2 pick or you can try and trade or see if someone beats you to the inbox
You know as a Cleveland fan what the holes are on the team
Your job to make them better and we just Draft the first 3 rounds

You can use picks form this year, you can use future picks within reason
Last year we did the mock and the SP ended up being right as we saw all 6 QBs taken fairly early and the NFL Draft ended up going the same way.
Usually moves along pretty fast as long as folks are checking in

We'll have an official post with some loose rules outlined but unlike FF we're just having a little fun, we do appreciate the reasons for the picks

The future picks thing is an interesting twist, I wasn't sure if that was allowed or not. So is this year's mock affected by future picks traded last year?? That would seem a bit wacky. So I'm guessing it doesn't work that way. You just look at the lost or gained future pick when considering the haul for that year's mock, I figure?

Future picks and other picks not involved in this draft, such as day 3 picks, have been part of trades in the past. Just use the chart to keep the trade fair and try to be realistic about what that team might want to do.

But such a trade wouldn't affect next year's mock, right? If my Bengals acquire a 2026 first, do we have that extra first, when and if we do this mock again in 2026?

The Cowboys have three picks.
12, 44 and 76.
All the early mocks had Dallas taking a certain RB. Now I see him being taken earlier in recent mocks. With so many holes to fill, I may be looking to trade down.
Biggest needs: OL, RB, WR, DL
Maybe I can just trade Dak ?
Do I resign Parsons or trade him ?
Should I go "all in" like Jerry or do a total rebuild ? (Jerry would never go for that)

It would not affect next year's draft. It's just for the purposes of running this draft

@Anarchy99 @Lansdowne @Boston
We need someone to volunteer for the Patriots
You are correct, sir. The Patriots do need a volunteer to oversee a successful draft. But it won't be me (for them or for your mock draft). My player knowledge for incoming prospects only extends into the second round. That would make me overqualified for the actual Patriots draft war room (but underqualified for your exercise here).

I will not proactively engage in trade conversations, but will respond / negotiate if someone else initiates, and 'folks checking in' leaves me nervous. My evening / weekend availability is largely at the mercy of mother nature. If she's behaving then I'm coaching and unavailable 3 out of 4 week nights between 4 and 9 (today is our off day this week), most of the day Saturday, and Sunday afternoon. It appears mother nature will be uncooperative the next 5 days, but beyond? We'll see. While I can check-in during most work days, I am frequently unavailable for 3-4 hours at a time, and count 2 or 3 days in April I may not be able to check in at all. I cover a region and don't always have time for more than a 30 second skim of my phone when going from one location to another.

Do with that what you will. It's not that I'm uninterested, it's that I think it's important you know my limitations before I commit.

@Ministry of Pain when approximately are you expecting to kick this off with Rd 1?
Good question, we just launched yesterday and we're doing pretty well filling up the slots, I'd probbly be OK with assigning a 2nd team a handful so we can get things rolling soon.
I would say after we get the teams assigned and we do a quick agreement of the rules
It's not super common that teams trade future picks on Draft Day, many times though it can happen on the weeks leading up to it.

I'm guessing most would like to start ASAP
We will do our best
