I have to pass on this but I’m truly flattered and grateful to have my name considered for this exercise. I hope you guys have fun!
I haven't heard anyone mention the Panthers yet@Ministry of Pain can you just give me whatever team you have the hardest time filling?
Don't **** this up.If nobody else wants Detroit, I’ll do it
Would you mind stepping in and taking the Cleveland Browns? One of the things I find interesting thus far is not a single team has multiple picks in the 1st round
Every single team has their first round pick for the 2025 draft.
If every team drafts a player it will be the first time in the 32 team NFL era (2002) that every team used a first round pick.

The two folks I thought would be shoe-ins are both concerned about time commitments, I respect that
If you take the Browns at No 2 and if there is any issue with time, I'll be happy to be the Asst GM for you.

Sorry, would not be able to do it justice and presently a bit stretched for time.
Chiefs in the houseI'll take the Chiefs (or any other open team)
Done! Was hoping you would take themI'll take Baltimore, MoP, though I may need some help with the prospects if someone's willing.
I take full blame for everything!I'll take Baltimore, MoP, though I may need some help with the prospects if someone's willing.
I will take the Chargers.
Pretty sure he quit this place.Where is Bills' Mafia?
@IvanKaramazov
The Ravens are a strong football team, shoe in to make the Playoffs most years and it's a lot more than Jackson at QB, the team has been well run for a long time.I'll take Baltimore, MoP, though I may need some help with the prospects if someone's willing.
It's a guideline, I just want to remind folks we are not drafting a start up dynasty or a Redraft in April and can just let the clock run for 24 hours, that's all I'm saying.
I will take the Chargers.
I may need to caveat given some discussion about being on the clock. I should have no problem making a Chargers pick within 10 minutes once I know they are on the clock, But I might not be able to check this thread for several hours at a time. If that is a problem, someone else will need to take the Chargers, and I will just critique their picks.![]()
You can find some prospect rankings on ESPN and CBS Sports. They're helpful on things like O-line where I don't know nearly as much as I do about fantasy relevant positions.I'll take Baltimore, MoP, though I may need some help with the prospects if someone's willing.

I know Henry investors won't like it when I say this but I think the Ravens could make a big splash by grabbing one of the better RBs in a deep class this year
Henry is not going to play forever and he was a short term signing for them.
I think they would be wise to get someone dynamic enough so they can limit the touches on Henry and save him for the Playoffs
RB is probably not on the radar to many but I feel like the Ravens will never be a pass 1st team, might as well be very deep and dynamic at the RB position
I feel like DB is an area they need some real help with but maybe I have that wrong. I feel like in the game threads last season the fans were bitching about it

I don't follow the Ravens, but they do have Keaton Mitchell. He was recovering from injury last season but in 2023 he averaged 8.4 ypc and 10.3 ypr, with 24 first downs on 56 touches. Granted, that was a small sample size, but he was impressive and seemingly complements Henry well. That may not preclude the Ravens from drafting a RB, but it would be at least a mild surprise to me if they draft one in the top 2 rounds.
They also have Justice Hill, who is a good fit for Baltimore (even though FFers hate him). The Ravens are a strong football team, shoe in to make the Playoffs most years and it's a lot more than Jackson at QB, the team has been well run for a long time.I'll take Baltimore, MoP, though I may need some help with the prospects if someone's willing.

Without any blue chip QBs I doubt we'll see too many trades in a real draft. Seems like there are a few guys considered top tier and then a bunch of players lumped together 5-40+. You could see some "on the clock" stuff per usual, but teams moving around pre-draft is unlikely.I am going to go ahead with the idea of making the first 24 hours time for GMs to quickly do any research needed and also think about whether they want to trade up or not
I've done this example a couple times but I'll show you a fairly straight forward trade example.
-Miami decides to trade down from No 13 when the Seattle Seahawks call them and dangle the No 52 pick in the 2nd round. Seattle has 2 picks in the 2nd and they want to move up 5 spots in the first round to secure the player they want. Grier/MoP ask for the No 50 pick to move in front of Seattle in the 2nd round but the Seahawks don't bend and with no better offers on the table the Dolphins accept and move down from 13 to 18 and acquire the No 52 pick in the Draft.
Seattle also could have traded the 2nd in '26 but here's the thing, as a GM in this thread I would want more picks that I can select and discuss right now. Plus those future picks won't mean anything when we fire up the Mock Draft '26 thread next year. I would encourage folks to try and only use the future picks as maybe a cherry on the top of a solid trade involving this year's draft picks.
But I'm not the Boss here, just a tour guide mostly and I would like some feedback on how you all feel about it.
And any other ideas you all have, now is the time to post them up so we can discuss.
Thanks
And that has been my findings and why I think Cleveland took a while to fill up, nobody is really excited about the No 2 pick right nowWithout any blue chip QBs I doubt we'll see too many trades in a real draft. MoP. Based on the info here I’m going to have to reluctantly back out. I’m traveling (flying) for work on Monday and won’t be able to be quickly responsive. Sorry brother. As a general guide I am going to write out some expectations
-When you know you are about 4-5 picks out and maybe sooner you need to get your short list of players together
Try not to be the person who says "Vegas GM took the guy I really wanted, I need time to think about it"
The NFL teams typically get about 5-10 minutes max when they are on the clock and they've already tried to move selections
-I have an idea that just came to me as I am writing this but let's see if this vibes with what we want to do here.
Once the 32 GMs are in place w/handful of GMs maybe running 2 of them, we should think about 24-48 hours of just trade discussion
Rather than GMs waiting on the clock which I won't allow, why not take a day or two and enjoy the reason most of you signed up to act as a team GM
Most teams get their deals done ahead of the Draft, sometimes they trade in the middle but many times those deals are discussed prior and are predicated on. certain player being there
I would support something like this so when the Draft starts, most teams know what they are going to do
I stated the Dolphins at No 13 are looking to trade DOWN!
Another GM already expressed interest in trading down so if you are a GM picking in the 20s and you want to move up to get an impact player, you know who to hit up
-I want to thank the Shark Pool for making this very easy so far assembling GMs, we just put this up Monday afternoon and it's only Wed Morning in the off season, there simple isn't the same amount of traffic in here, but the folks who are here are typically some of our strongest posters![]()
I understand, can you stay until Monday? We likely will be well into or thru the 1st rd I'm thinking and others will come along and wish they signed up, I'll slide them in and slide you outMoP. I sincerely think the best move is a trade down. (Actually two but..) I think it'll change the draft for many teams in trickle down fashion too. It even seems wise to trade down in the second again. They need a lot and six seven additional players just won't cut it.@Bri
-You can start us off any time you are ready, we officially are live tomorrow morning I would say
@daveR @RC94 @JetMaxx @Streetduck
I would start getting your selections lined up because whenever Bri gets us started, you don't have to wait either, you'll be free to select
Cheers!
I'm going to need some time to work on trades. There shouldn't be a rush on this. We have 3 weeks until the draft and nothing else to do.@Bri

If anything, DB may be the last of the Browns needs - I'd set the priority list at QB-DL-OT-WR-iOL-TE-RB-LB-DB. Push comes to shove, I'm picking DB over RB / LB because of where this roster is right now all else being equal, but the DB room is much stronger than both.Browns - QB-WR-OT-DB
