In order to look forward, I want to look back and see who got it right last year and whether anyone stood out from among the crowd.

I meant to print last year's rankings off before they were replaced recently but forgot...

If anyone can point in the right direction, much obliged.

I'll check last year's FBG draft guide, but I don't recall them being in there.

edited to say: the rankings link connects to the current rankings but u can get them by clicking on the Projections links...actually this links to the current season (despite the 9/5 date) for some reason

Thanks. The links to the average rankings on this 2005 page take me to the current 2006 rankings unfortunately. I'll keep digging around to see what I can find. The cheetsheats are last year's however, and may be interesting to audit or "reverse engineer".

Still hoping last year's rankings by all the FBG staff can be located. Anyone have any idea where they might be. I can't find them on the site anywhere.

but for some reason footballguys wasn't indexed at all in 2005 by archive.org. I wonder why that is?

I saved a copy to try and evaluate my own rankings. unfortunately, a few staff members may have updated their rankings after the season started (there was some talk that we were going to keep these updated throughout the season, but I think we decided that would be too complicated) so the overall averages aren't going to be perfect. But you can see the dates and make your own decisions about how to handle them.EDIT TO ADD: I just realized some of the images don't show up (names, etc.) since these are HTML files. PM me your email address if you want me to send you the rest of what I have.

I have PM'd you my email address so that you can send the info there as well. Hopefully the names will come through by email as I am curious to see if anyone really nailed it last year.

EDIT TO ADD: Actually, I think there is a way to identify which FBG's name belongs at the top of each column of the rankings -- by clicking on the second/bottom box at the top of each column will link you through to the current 2006 rankings. The FBG whose 2006 rankings appear in numerical order (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.) is the guy who you clicked on in the above rankings.

However, I would still greatly appreciate if you can email the above info so I can be sure of whose name I can assign to each column, just to be sure.
