This question regards paid content on the FBGs website...

How do players of the same position have higher 'Value' but lower 'Total FPT' (i.e., the sum of 'This Week FPT' and 'Rest of Yr FPT')? For example, without naming actual names...

QB'x' is projected to have a Total FPT of 194.3, while QB'y' is projected to have a Total FPT 212.7. The listed Value associated with QB'x' is 23.5 while the Value associated with QB'y' is 22.5. [There are numerous other examples of this, so it does not appear to be a simple error. Also before anyone points out that there Values are too similar to make a difference, there's another QB'z' that has a projected Total FPT of 212.9 but has a Value of 35.0 so there is a clear discrepancy.]

What am I missing here?

Thanks

*Edited to attempt to provide more clarity

I don't see those exact numbers in the table, but RG3 and Matt Ryan are pretty close.

RG3 still has a bye week upcoming, and his owners will get to replace him with someone else's points that week.

So the logic would be, RG3 @ (194.3/8=24.2 ppg) + a one-week fillin > Ryan @ (212.7/9 = 23.6 ppg).

I think ;)

Thanks for the explanation. I understand your logic.

Correct. For people that are known to miss weeks going forward (byes, injuries, etc) a fill in number for those weeks exists to get the full value/ranking of the player.

Okay. Riddle me Mr. Brady's place on The List. PM maybe?

This is also the reason you'll see someone jump following their bye week. Percy Harvin, for example, is much lower now than he will be following the week 11 bye (assuming he continues to produce).
