After f3 Bc4 Ka6 Bf6 no longer works for black: Bf6 Bxf6 Rc6+ Kb7 Rxf6 Rxd7 (or Kc7) and I'm pretty sure we can win this.
I've got two ideas:.
If he plays bd4 after f3, i don't see how we win. What would be our next move?
Kg2 doesn't scare me...I don't think e3 works due to Rc5 or Kg2. I think f3 offers us better possibilities.
1. Bf4+ kg3 bc7 be3 rxd7 rxe4 drawI've got two ideas:
1. Bf4+ Kh3 Bc7
or
2. Ka6
Yeah. Dammit.2. Ka6 kg3 kb5 rc5+ and we are in a bind. Draw, i think.
Maybe this works?OK, e6 Nc5 Bh4 What are you thinking for white?
Kg3, i assume. Not a losing position by any means, but probably worse than where we are now. I don't know what we do next that is very proactive.Yeah. Dammit.
How about f3 Bd4 Rd3?
Let's try this again, sorry.
e3 Rc5 Bh4 what does white do?
Kf3Well first off, after e3 Rc5 Bh4 Kg2, Rxd7 looks pretty good.
Rf7
Bd4Rf7
Then we start moving the King in, and he tries to stop us with his rook we've got Rf5. Lots of tactics here.
Yeah. Agreed. But E3 then bd8 may be tricky. I think it's a draw, but there's maybe something sneaky about it i want to see if you would catch. My wife still won't play me.There's always some ####### way out of this. It's driving me crazy. OK let's look at Bd8.
Unless it is kg2 (which i wouldn't think to play as white), i think we maybe can win. Just want someone to play it with.E3 rc5 bd8. What do u do as white?
Yep. Be5 and we get our pawns home. Rf5 and we are up two pawns and try to get our king over.Maybe you found it. I see how Rxd2 is next and then the pin if he takes the f pawn with the rook
Just a comment here, if after e3 Rc5 Bd8 Kg2 Rxd2 Kf3 Bc7 transposes into the same position.Kg2 doesn't scare me...
...e3
Kg2...rxd7
Rc5...bd8
Kf3...bc7
Looks pretty good.
I am not sure at all. I do think we have a win with kg2, bd4, or be5. Those were the other obvious plays for white to me. See anything else?Wilk- also you're quite sure that you have the answer for any response to e3 other than Rc5, right? There's nothing else he can pull out of his hat?
Oops. Looking again, I dont know how to win with bd4. Or if i saw it earlier, i forgot it.I am not sure at all. I do think we have a win with kg2, bd4, or be5. Those were the other obvious plays for white to me. See anything else?
Here you go Wilk Bd4 e2...e3
Be5 no good for white. F3 and our pawns get home.
Bd4 gives us his d pawn and looks pretty good. Bd4...e2...bf2...rxd7
Kg2 and we just take his d pawn, rxd7 and looks pretty good.
Rc5 seems to be his likely response to e3. Will look at this one more.
Then Bf2 rxd7...we are up two pawns, but how do we get them home? Here you go Wilk Bd4 e2
We'll find a way. With a pawn on the 7th rank his moves become very restricted. We'll figure it out. Then Bf2 rxd7...we are up two pawns, but how do we get them home?
I think i got it...bd4 f3.Then Bf2 rxd7...we are up two pawns, but how do we get them home?
