FBGs vs Kasparov- chess game- Draw agreed to (1 Viewer)

I don't think e3 works due to Rc5 or Kg2. I think f3 offers us better possibilities.

Be5 no good for white. F3 and our pawns get home.

Bd4 gives us his d pawn and looks pretty good. Bd4...e2...bf2...rxd7

Kg2 and we just take his d pawn, rxd7 and looks pretty good.

Rc5 seems to be his likely response to e3. Will look at this one more.

I like Ka6 better because Kb5 is threatened and I don't know how he defends against it. I'm good with Bf6 now that we've played f3.

Kg2 doesn't scare me...

...e3

Kg2...rxd7

Rc5...bd8

Kf3...bc7

Looks pretty good.

Rc5 on the other hand looks like a draw, but this is all a draw anyway if he plays perfectly as far as i can tell.

Unless somebody chips in with some brilliant sacrifice, i think we all agree this is a draw. So what is the most likely line to lead to a Kaspy mistake? I know the correct answer is none, but there is always a tiny chance. E3?

I think we ought to play e3. He might not play Rc5. You seemed to find the answer to everything else. But if he does play it we've got Bh4 or Bd8.

There's always some ####### way out of this. It's driving me crazy. OK let's look at Bd8.
Yeah. Agreed. But E3 then bd8 may be tricky. I think it's a draw, but there's maybe something sneaky about it i want to see if you would catch. My wife still won't play me. :-)

Basically, i think if after e3, he doesnt play rc5, we can win. If, after rc5 bd8 he doesnt play kg2, i think we can win.

Maybe he sees it and we draw, but i dont have a better idea. And without looking at this for hours, i wouldnt have seen it and, if i was playing white, would have lost.

Maybe you found it. I see how Rxd2 is next and then the pin if he takes the f pawn with the rook
Yep. Be5 and we get our pawns home.  Rf5 and   we are up two pawns and try to get our king over.

If he sees both answers, we are never beating him anyway.

Well let's try and solve the last problem, shall we?

e3 Rc5 Bd8 Kg2 Rxd7

1. Be5 e2 Kf2 Rb6

2. Kf3 Bf7 and Rxf7 Kxf7 Be5 Rc4

or Be5 Bxe5 Rxe5 Rd4

This all looks good for us. Anything else with Kg2?

Wilk- also you're quite sure that you have the answer for any response to e3 other than Rc5, right? There's nothing else he can pull out of his hat?

I am not sure at all. I do think we have a win with kg2, bd4, or be5. Those were the other obvious plays for white to me. See anything else?

Oops. Looking again,  I dont know how to win with bd4. Or if i saw it earlier, i forgot it.
